  Barato, limpio y acogedor

  Tipica casa inglesa con habitaciones arriba y pub en la parte de abajo, ideal para una escapada de 2 o 3 días en York. Está situado a unos 600 metros del centro de York andando. Cuenta con una terraza jardín muy bonita para tomarte una cerveza después de un largo día de paseo visitando York.

  Two night stay

  Stayed for two nights of a weekend. Staff were very friendly the bar lovely. The room was a little tired looking but clean and the bed comfortable. A separate entrance to the accommodation from the street was handy if you didn't want to walk through the bar area.There was very little noise from the bar but quite a bit from the road but that is to be expected given the fact that our room was facing the main road. It didn't spoil our stay but if you are a light sleeper maybe request a side or rear room. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on the food quality.

  Great pub.

  The Lighthorseman Pub is a great pub I always look forward to visiting on any holiday I take to this most beautiful of city's, a pub that always offers a warm welcome and serves great beers. I love the look of this pub,the interior is awesome, multi roomed ,the main room is dominated by a very solid wood serving bar, great decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,all housed in a wonderful looking building, it's just a great place to unwind in. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Sunday afternoon, we went in as the pub was opening for the day so we were about the first customers of the day so we could appreciate what a great looking pub this is,greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff, after a quick study of the real ales on offer we both opted to have Marston's Brewery " wainwrights golden ale " these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back,chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My ale was really good, I enjoy the ales brewed by Marston's Brewery and their golden ale is a particular favourite of mine, a rich,hoppy and well balanced ale bursting with taste,very easy to drink,a real ale style both myself and my twin brother are particularly fond of. We really enjoyed our ales in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Lighthorseman Pub is easy to locate along Fulford Road and is most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

  Well priced but basic

  Found this on trivago as best value hotel in the area. Very welcoming staff. Room was reasonable and practical but nothing special. Shower did the job but weak. Tea and coffee available. Good tv. Reasonably comfy bed. Pipes made noise with heating so had to turn off but stayed warm. Good twaites beer too.

  Fab location

  We stayed here for one night, it's a lovely little pub, the owner is really nice. We loved our room one of the four poster beds. It was clean, the bed was so comfortable too, had a great nights sleep. Within minutes you can walk to the river and stroll into town, we stopped along the way for drinks and watched boat trips etc. Will definitely stay here again, everything you need in the room
