  Thief !

  I live in Horley close to the guest house so I made a reservation in person at the reception desk last September for my parents a few months before they were coming to visit. I paid the full amount by card. At check in on the arrival date 3/3/2020 Quasim asked me to pay for the reservation. I explained that I had paid the full amount in advance to a lady that was at the desk a few months before but he kept denying saying there was no record in his system and that they never take payments in advance. Thank God I always keep my paper receipts. So I had to go back home to get the paper just to show him that I had already paid. When he saw the receipt he had to admit I was right and he justified himself saying that the lady forgot to record the payment. On my opinion this is unacceptable from any tourist business. When I asked him what would have happened then if I hadnt lived nearby and if I had thrown away the receipt he didnt reply a word.. However, my parents stayed there 2 nights then we went on holiday to Cuba. They also had another reservation for when we were supposed to come back on the 21/03/2020 for another 3 night. Unfortunately due to the COVID pandemia our flight was cancelled and we got stuck in Cuba. I emailed Quasim explaining the situation and I asked him for a refund due this extraordinary circumstances. He refused and very rudely replied to me that I had to speak to my travel insurance if I wanted my money back. I replied to him this exact words I am an EU citizen and UK resident so there is no travel insurance involved with my reservation. If you dont refund me it is just because you dont want to. Well, he stole from me £240 pounds and didnt even reply my email. Not even offering me a voucher for the amount paid or the opportunity to rearrange my booking. Be careful with this guy....

  pricey and not clean

  The refreshment in the room was old and stale. Rooms are dirty and a smelly.Customer service is very poor. We had to book it a few times due to the convenience of the place and each time we faced a different issue.

  I would 100% recommend this place. The owner is very lovely and went out of his way for us to be helpful, and the rooms are clean, modern, and very comfy. Really close to Gatwick, but quiet residences. Thank you Q, Ian and Katie

  Amazing discovery

  My girlfriend and I have just returned from a holiday where we flew from Gatwick. We live up north so due to.our flight time last week being 5.30am we required to stay over. Fortunately we found this gem of a place. We arrived around 6pm and upon doing so the first impressions were very good. The exterior of the guest house is lovely however as is the interior. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly who booked the taxi to collect us at 3am. I had pre arranged for my car to be parked at the guest house until returning yesterday and was offered the transfer from the airport to the hotel which we agreed to. The room was fabulous, spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and also spotlessly clean. The owner said if there were any problems with the taxi then we should call him and he would sort it out. There were none. Upon returning to Gatwick I called the guesthouse after proceeding through passport control and was given directions to the bus stop to meet the driver for the transfer. I was asked to call the guesthouse when arriving at the bus stop to make sure I was there. Upon arriving at the bus stop, the owner of the guest house was just pulling up in his car and there was no waiting around or problem. My car was parked at the side of the guest house ready to drive away. All in all I would highly recommend this place to anyone either travelling from Gatwick Airport or anyone needing accommodation in that area. Especially for the price of the rooms opposed to the cost of hotel rooms at the airport. Plus a great friendly guy being the owner who assisted us perfectly. Great place and will be here in the future if flying from Gatwick or are in the area.

  Great budget hotel

  Considering the cost, I cannot fault the room! Great value for money in a great location! Quasim was really friendly, very modern ineteior, clean beds, honestly just a perfect little B&B for a quick stay whilst flying!
