  Lovely Inn with Tasty Pub Grub

  I will start by saying the pub is nothing spectacular, theres not many quirks, the restaurant is quite basic in the way it is decorated. The views are incredible over the dale (we had a window seat, as requested) so happy they had put us there! The food is not home-made thats for sure (plastic burger cheese, fries were a packet job) however having said all that, it was tasty. I didnt go expecting the ritz due to the reviews so thats why I went in with an open-mind knowing the food wasnt going to be anything wow-worthy, but just your average tasty pub grub and thats exactly what it was. Staff were also friendly. I would definitely go again, what I had was yummy. I had the cheese burger and fries for main and Treacle Tart for dessert. Dont expect anything glitz but do try it for yourself! The views are so worth it too.

  Top Marks - Safe, friendly, and a great place to unwind

  We enjoyed lunchtime beers outside taking in the spectacular views. We were SO impressed with their Coronavirus safety precautions, that we booked a table for the following evening. We were not disappointed, the service was friendly and efficient, all staff wearing masks or visors and all food and drinks served to the table. Well done Alice and her team - top marks!

  Great place to stay - especially with current restrictions

  Party of 3 singles staying 2 nights on a walking break. Hotel (not our first visit) is a little thin on character perhaps but has great views across Lathkill and our rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Food was very decent "pub grub" but the roast salmon was delicious and is highly recommended. The Hartington Bitter was especially enjoyed! Breakfasts were all we wanted and cooked to order. High spots were 1) the way they are working within the Covid guidelines - you feel very reassured without feeling at all intimidated and 2) their mostly (very) young staff who were polite, cheerful and efficient and made us feel really welcome. Alice is certainly making her mark: book with confidence.

  Great location

  The hotel has a great location offering beautiful views over Lathkill Dale.A short walk takes you down to the river where you can walk to Monyash in one direction and Youlgreave in the other.Staff are very friendly and helpful and covid restrictions were followed throughout the hotel.

  Just the best

  This is the first time we have stayed at lathkil hotel and it was just the best,fantastic views ,great service,COVID-19 guidance followed to the letter,everywhere exceptional clean.we could not find one fault.It was a well needed break ,thank you to All of you at lathkil hotel.
