    Beautiful boutique hotel

    Im writing this as I lie by the beautiful pool on my last day staying at the Last Word and really am so loathed to leave! This boutique hotel completely surpassed our expectations, their website really doesnt do it justice. Our room was beautiful, the hotel and gardens are immaculate and so peaceful and the staff are all so friendly, they really cant do enough for you. It really is such a special place, located in a very upmarket area, close to lots of restaurants and a great base to explore all that Cape Town has to offer. The breakfasts are delish and the free drinks and afternoon cake all add to this wonderful experience! I did so much research when looking for somewhere for us to stay, as I really wanted to make the right decision. So, by writing this review I hope it saves you some time as this is definitely the place to stay!

    Cosseted Experience Enhanced By Unsurpassed Friendliness and an Attention to Comfort

    From the moment we were greeted by Sam Phiri and offered a pot of tea whilst our luggage was taken to the room we knew we were in for a wonderful experience. If Sam's friendliness wasn't already enough to satisfy every expectation Tess Ellis-Brown made us feel part of her hotel family and a treasured house guest in the very best traditions and finest houses. Our room, number five, was a delight, huge by any standards with a lounge area, a bed inducing deep slumber and a delightful walled patio to chill in. The gardens and pool were also spectacular and added to the ambience. It be remiss not to mention; Jonny "Walker" Banda's whose smile and personality are surely his greatest asset, the exuberant and cherished ladies who made breakfast time everyday a treat and also thank you Neville the hotel's wonderful chauffeur who waved us Au Revoir at the airport. More than that my wife's birthday was remembered by Tess and her team and their generosity much appreciated . We will doubtless return and of course will recommend 'The Last Word Constantia" to anyone and everyone who even mentions visiting Cape Town! I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel to anyone intent on relaxing when visiting Cape Town but its always the people who make memories and we have left with so many wonderful and new found friends. We found South Africa to be blessed by its friendliness and we wish the nation every success in years to come. God bless all.

    Elegant chic

    Our pool suite was absolutely quiet and very spacious. We stayed here after our Tuinroute trip and before our stay on the busy V&A Waterfront. This cosy hotel is a comfortable and green oasis 15 km outside Cape Town and about the same distance to Muizenberg beach and Kalk Bay harbour. Tess was able to create a friendly relation with a personal touch yet without being obtrusive. A sumptuous buffet breakfast with plenty of choice of fruits, cold cuts and hot dishes was served by the cheerful ladies. One suggestion: enjoy a gastronomic dinner at the Cellars-Hohenort, north of Constantia.

    What a Gem in Constantia

    Gorgeous small intimate boutique-style hotel in the best area of Cape Town. Fabulous suite with a private plunge pool and pool loungers, The breakfast was incredible and highly recommended. Staff and Management were very hands-on and I would highly recommend this hotel

    If your home went on holiday with you!

    What a wonderfully idyllic place. The Last Word is a small, beautifully decorated oasis of magnificent offerings. The lush garden, makes for serene views from over the fabulous breakfast. Massive, comfy rooms, lovely finishes and stunning bathrooms have made our stay a fabulous one. But above all, the staff have been outstanding, kind and friendly. Even with our two children to tend to, they have made us feel so much at home. Close to every Constantia convince and social site. This place has raised the bar! Thanks for having us.
