  Awesome place to live or stay for vacation!

  We lived at the Lansburgh for nearly three years - right in the heart of DC, surrounded by the best food and activities. A block from the National Archives and two metro stations, a block from Pennsylvania Ave - the parade route between the US Capital and White House. The in-door pool, Jacuzzi, steam rooms, saunas and fitness rooms are excellent and well maintained, and the staff are fabulous!

  TERRIBLE management

  I agreed to sign a lease here at the rate published on the website. The property manager sent me the deposit form, which I filled out. He then told me he had decided to increase the rent by thousands of dollars-- two weeks before I was set to move in-- and advised me that I had no choice but to pay the higher rate. Evidently, he is unfamiliar with the nature of a binding contract. Ridiculous. Definitely look elsewhere

  A bit grubby and not particularly comfortable

  The location was fantastic, but our stay felt impersonal and confusing. Elevators worked badly (if at all) and no stairwell access. The receptionist has no relationship to the apartment, which was not particularly well-appointed with convenience items.

  terrible and dirty

  I rarely post a negative review but I have to this time. We booked this for our family based on the reviews, location, price and size for a family of 5 (2 BR apt).. Location was great, actual size and layout of apt was great, checkin etc, no problems....However once we stepped in..holy cow it was a dirty filthy mess as depicted on the pictures attached. It looked like 5 frat brothers just moved out 30 min before we arrived...filthy carpet, urine stains on walls (looked it from a pet possibly) dead bugs on window sills, soot from heating vent and a carpet that looked terrible. Calling just. service was limited because they are located on west coast and not in the building. Not able to help us at all when we arrived after about 9pm..Only silver lining was that the next day we moved out and they did not argue about refunding us our full amount but be wary. Very wary of this location!

  DC visit

  Three night stay for our first visit to DC; great location to see all the sights from. Apartment we had was on 8th floor and looked up 7th towards Capitol One Arena. Room was large, clean well appointed and provided us a great base during the stay. Easy three blocks to National Mall and plenty of places to eat close by. Parking available in building for US$16/night. Next stop Stay Alfred in Philly.
