    Really friendly traditional pub with great food.

    Our first trip away since the lifting of Corona virus restrictions and had a fantastic meal at this pub. Very dog friendly with a lovely well cared for outdoor space. They couldn't have been more friendly and had thought of everything to make us feel safe and comfortable. The food was really good with my Meze starter being the best I've had outside of Greece. The houmos and tzatziki were obviously home made and tasted fantastic. I followed this with fish and chips which was also really good. Skinless and boneless cod fillet in a tempura batter which was really light and crispy and the chips were a cut above those you normally get in a pub. The steak and ale pie also looked home made and really tasty. We left very full and happy and would definitely recommend you give this place a try. In these difficult times they need your support and you won't be disappointed.

    No evidence of following COVID protocol

    Run down rooms. No evidence of following any COVID protocols such as this room has been fogged which we have experienced at other hotels. Shower pressure non existent. Would find somewhere else to stay next time.

    Excellent hotel.

    Excellent hotel. All good. Definitely the best in the town itself. Due to C-19, there was no evening meal but Pino's italian resto, a minute's walk away, was really amazing. We stayed in a room over one of the old stables and it was so restful and quiet.

    Great pub

    Had a lovely weekend staying here. Great pub & staff, comfy room and nice food and beer. Nice to have parking included, as Marlborough can be difficult to find a parking spot for the weekend. The town itself is very nice, and well worth a visit. Thanks!

    Sticky toffee

    Probably the best sticky toffee pudding Ive ever had according to my fellow dinner guest. Great roasts, generous portions and lovely veg. Warm welcome too, would recommend to anyone looking for a good value Sunday Roast. Nice choice of ales too if youre in to that type of thing
