  Assulting attitude on behalf of the host. With friends we booked 2 villas and the host cancelled one of them 2 days before arrival with explanation that he has doubled bookings and can do nothing. On day of departure he forced us rudely to leave before 12h, even if on the reservation it was stated between 13 and 18 h. Houses are in unfinished condition, made quickly and not with good quality (still under construction). Very disappointing experience, do not cause it to yourself!

  The accommodation in the Lake Villa is not recommendable!

  The Lake Villa actually represents a small resort with 5 modern houses not very well arranged in a courtyard. The parking is just in front of the buildings and the parking places serving all houses are only 4. The villa is far from the city center of Smolyan (about 7-8 km). Its only 11 km far away from the Pamporovo Ski Resort but the small road plenty of turns takes over 30 minutes to go there. The house facilities are properly described (The first floor comprises a fully-equipped modern kitchen and an open plan living room with fireplace, for which wood is provided free of charge. The second floor contains the 3 double bedrooms and en suite bathrooms with modern fittings.). The building itself was not very clean and tidy. The bedrooms and bathrooms are more or less comfortable but the hot water may disappear at certain point of time. The kitchen gives the opportunity to prepare some meals if wanted. No reception desk, no restaurant, no coffee shop, no staff available on the spot. The service provided by the owner is more than awful. We are group of friends wanted to spend together a short holiday season beginning of March 2014. What we needed was a common place where we could spend our time. Finding the Lake Villa we booked 2 houses mid of Jan 2014, the owner called immediately to confirm the reservations. The day before our arrival the owner called again and explained he was not able to provide us with 2 buildings and proposed us 1 house in the resort and another one 5 km far from the first. After few hours of negotiations it was clear that we couldnt have 2 houses. We needed to rearrange our trip because of the dishonest and inadequate behavior of the owner. Finally we booked few rooms in the nearest hotel and take the only one available house in the Lake Villa. At the time of our departure the owner requested us to leave the house at 2 pm even if in our written reservation it was clearly stated that the check-out is between 1 pm and 6 pm. In case you dont want to spend your holidays negotiating your preliminary booked accommodation, do not relay on the Lake Villa.

  Host are horrible

  The hosts succeeded in making our stay there horrible. We had reserved 2houses and 2days before arrival we had 1 of the houses cancelled by them. Then we had to search for places around for half of the people to sleep. The house we had was really dirty. Upon departure we had to leave early because the host told us it's time to leave, despite our reservation was with departure until 18 o'clock we had to leave at 14. Our reservation was through booking.com, but even they did not succeded in helping us to cope with the hosts. It's a pity there are still such people working in touristic business.

  Great villa

  The villa is great. Fully equipped kitchen better than most households. Very clean and relaxed atmosphere. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Go to the canyon of waterfalls if you are to visit Smolyan.
