  Visitar The Knoll es como visitar la casa de unos amigos, un ambiente familiar y muy agradable, en un entorno encantador. Una experiencia única. La cena espectacular así como el desayuno. Una sala de estar acogedora.

  Absolutely amazing place to stay, fantastic breakfast and food served on the evening. Very helpful and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing but exceptional. Will definitely book again.

  Lovely little place

  We are just back from the knoll after a much needed break having not had a holiday this year. Chose the knoll after cancelling it earlier in the year due to Covid. This is a lovely little place off the beaten track, the communal areas are charming with a shabby chic decor which adds to the ambiance and you can see what the owner is trying to achieve with the decor and its country cottage feel, however we felt the bedroom was a bit dated and didnt exude the same charm as the communal areas. We was a bit disappointed as we expected the same shabby chic decor and ornaments in the room, it felt a bit dark, dingy and old. Having said this the bed was comfortable and it was clean and it was sufficient for our needs. The food at the knoll is absolutely delicious, the breakfasts are varied and between us we tried several things on the breakfast menu and all where equally delicious and plentiful. We ate on two evenings at the knoll and again we were not disappointed, the platters where fabulous as where the cheese boards. I would highly recommend eating at the knoll in the evenings, nice atmosphere with good music playing in the background, good wine and no complaints from us. Despite our little moan about the room we would go back and we would have no hesitation in recommending the knoll.

  "The knoll is a hidden gem"

  Thank you very much for making us feel so welcome and safe during these difficult times. A fantastic breakfast all fresh and locally produce food. A warm and restful room -peaceful and quiet with a lovely welcoming piece of Kendal mint cake and a bathrobe too! Friendly and approachable team that even advised us about some pleasant local walks. We cannot wait to return, when life returns to normal. Mille grazie

  Post Christmas break

  Just back from a 3 night stay at the Knoll. What can we say...... absolutely fabulous!!! From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed, safe (covid safe) and valued. The Hotel is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Fabulous food.... Breakfast included and kept us going all day. The evening meals are really worth trying. Great food at attractive prices. The ladies here that run The Knoll are just wonderful and we really cannot wait to go back again. Superb location and a fabulous break away from home.
