  Charming and friendly place to stay

  We spent one night at The Kings Arms Inn and found it a very nice place to stay. The staff were very helpful. We were arriving in the evening and found more traffic than we had expected; as we realized we would be arriving after the kitchen closed, I called the hotel from the car, and they had a nice dinner waiting for us even though we arrived after the normal restaurant hours. The rooms were tidy and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was filling and very good. We also appreciated the fact that our dog was welcome. The hotel and restaurant both had a very cozy atmosphere. There's also a picnic area outside.

  90th Birthday Dinner

  My mum was 90 on Monday and we booked a table for 6 of us due to present restrictions. We were shown into the dining area, which we had to ourselves. From the outset we were treated with great care, the champagne we had ordered was delivered as requested just after we sat down. Then we were shown the menu, the food selection was varied and interesting. The food was delivered promptly and was delicious. The pate, squid and soup were all good. The fish & chips were delicious, particularly the curry sauce. The hake and duck were also delicious. We also managed a dessert each, the ice cream flavours were tasty and the chocolate orange dessert was rich but very good. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend it for a family dinner. The COVID regulations were followed with care.

  Christmas Meal

  We had a wonderful Christmas meal on Friday the 4th December. COVID precautions were very reassuring felt safe anywhere in the building Food was just gorgeous Service was faultless Beer was excellent Could not recommend The Kings Arms Inn enough Robin & Grace Yeo

  My favourite place to eat, ever.

  I have stayed at this place three times, and every time we have stayed the food and the service have been outstanding. The chef is absolutely fantastic, I cannot stress enough how good the food is at this establishment, and this is during the global pandemic! I have had a massive variety of food and everything Ive ever had has been simply high above par. If you make the effort to stay and eat here you will not be disappointed. The surrounding decor and age of the building add to so much character and a fantastic relaxed ambiance. Compliments to the chef, and even the simplest of dishes end up memorable. Thank you!!!!!

  Food Takeaway

  We ordered a takeaway on a Saturday night which we collected from the restaurant and were extremely impressed. Very much recommend to try out the Kings Arms for a takeaway as the food was of excellent quality, well packaged and piping hot. We intend to use again for takeaways and hopefully be able to visit for a meal in the not to distant future.
