  The personnel were very gracious and the accommodations were perfect. We travelled in the off season and found the rates to be very reasonable. The location on the island was perfect and the ocean views were spectacular

  Underwhelmed

  Im not sure where all the fantastic reviews are coming from. We heard great things about the King and Prince, and once we arrived, we were underwhelmed to say the least. The good: location is perfect, our room was quiet, and had what we needed. The view from our ocean view suite was perfect. There was a handwritten note welcoming us when we arrived - very nice touch! The bad: everything we saw at the resort was dated and run down (except the lobby and Echo bar/restaurant). The bathroom was small and dingy. And the suite was tiny. Nothing was actually comfortable. And the router (with its 4 blinking lights) was mounted to the ceiling almost over the bed - it blinked all. night. long. You'd think with the router so close we'd have good internet? Nope. The ugly: the elevator dropped twice while we were in it (on separate days), and the elevator inspection certificate was expired. There were ants all over our bathroom. The sink hadnt been cleaned. The lock didnt latch on the door to the balcony. The screen to the balcony was torn up. Y'all. We were in room 473, oceanfront building. Maybe the rest of the property is fabulous? Good luck. Hopefully they'll get their elevator serviced and then keep up with regular maintenance. And do something about the ants. The room was so uncomfortable we looked for a different hotel for the 2nd night of our stay - just didn't have luck finding somewhere on such short notice. Thankfully, it was a short stay.

  Oh Boy!

  Stayed 2 nights in Jan. First hotel I stayed at since covid outbreak in Mr. 2020. Arrived late so quickly had dinner at the bar ( very nice ) and then to our room. Next morning realized the sheets and pillow cases were not changed ( wont go into detail as too revolting) and bathroom floor had dirt marks from shoes and no shampoos or conditioners. Front desk person listened but politely didnt react. Almost felt she was used to this. Management was called and then things were corrected ( room cleaned the way it should have been before we arrived). More excuses than apologies. The 2nd night we came down to the lobby and there was a group of 30 standing having cocktails for a birthday with no one wearing a mask. Of course several came up to the bar unmasked for orders. I later find out several staff have been ordered home in an abundance of caution because some staff came down with Covid. Im 70 and feel violated and put at risk because of lax protocol. Probably a nice place to go for a beach vacation but any hotel that doesnt inspect their rooms for cleanliness and doesnt practice better covid protocol during these times is missing something...my business included. ( I was not going to write this review because I do not want to jeopardize anyones job especially during these times.) However, once I learned of the Covid issue, I felt its incumbent upon me to relay my experience. P.S. The hotel took off $140 off my bill... rather have had a clean room and safe environment.

  A great getaway

  Right on the beach. Even in February we were able to spend some time walking on the beach, enjoy reading by the pool, enjoying the view and the environment. Room in the original building was small but very well appointed. Service was friendly and helpful. We will be back.

  Anniversary Stay

  We came to celebrate our 20th anniversary and it was an amazing experience. We were greeted by Ashley, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Bedding was a plus, photos of the hotels history, takes you back in time. We are looking forward to coming back in the near future.
