  Habitaciones minusculas, pero bien situado

  Hotel en primera linea de playa y muy centrico, casi enfrente del Central Pier, regentado por una familia de pakistanies, muy amables pero que continuan creyendo que estan en Pakistan en cuanto a decoracion se refiere, el hotel esta aceptablemente limpio pero con unas gruesas y anticuadas moquetas y cortinajes al estilo hindu (ambas muy usadas) de color granate que no encajan para nada con el ambiente maritimo que se respira en la localidad. Las habitaciones son minusculas, pero claro, el precio también.

  Last minute deal

  We booked the Kensington for 2 nights at the last minute so we were surprised they had a family 3 room available everywhere else wed tried were fully booked. Upon arrival we got a free parking space at the side of the hotel which was a bonus. The building looked run down and would benefit from tidying up and presenting better as due to the location on the seafront it would make it more appealing. The hotel itself inside was also run down with a variety of different red patterned carpet in each public area. These areas really do need some attention and modernisation to brighten it up as all the red made it very dark. Check in was quick & easy. We were allocated a family 3 room which clean but very basic the only good feature was the large full size bathroom. The room was adequate for what we needed. The television had to be re tuned and you couldnt watch it from lying in the double bed as it was to low down on the table. However this didnt affect our stay. Breakfast was really good and service was quick and efficient. Overall for a late booking the hotel had everything we needed as far as location and breakfast.

  Never again

  Let me start my review by saying the staff were very friendly but thats as good as it gets. The rooms are grubby and overpriced for what they are. Breakfast underwhelming TV did not work Bedroom walls were stained Bed was very uncomfortable Generally smelt of damp Redding stained There is more but I think thats enough We were originally going to stay for two nights but only stayed for one Will definitely not be going back

  Blackpool anniversary trip

  Hotel very old, damp and dated. Food precooked so eggs rubbery on both mornings. Unable to pull a decent pint. We only saw staff at checkin/out and breakfast. Bed uncomfortable and old. TV very small and didn't work as no aerial. In need of modernisation. Net curtains too small/short and old so offered no privacy. We did get a sea view though which was lovely. Very over priced for what we got. Very disappointed with Blackpool in general. It has gone right downhill and needs lots of money spending on it and there were lots of beggars. Won't be going again in a hurry.

  September 2020 visit

  I was walking down the promenade when I heard some music pumping out of this place, so I decided to go in. I went to the bar to order a drink, when I realised I only had my bank card. I asked if there was a minimum spend on card, and the server said that the minimum spend was £10. I was not going to spend that much in one go for drinks, so decided to try somewhere else.
