Nice location but not rich facilities

Visited for family trip. The location was excellent to reach some famous restaurants and seoguipo olle market where lots of snacks and foods are. Nice walking course exists around the hotel. Convenience store in ground floor. No facilities without room we booked were available. A little bit inconvenient parking system. If you need a room and nice location for trip, just go. The price are affordable. If you need a quite confortable room and nice service of hotel(in terms of calm vacation), please find other hotel. Thanks

Our stay at The Island Blue Hotel

We booked this hotel Aug 22-Aug 26, 2018 and we had a good stay there. The room was very spacious, clean with big windows a bonus for the hotels in South Korea.Actually it was an apartment with a kitchen aria but the kitchen wasn't any used since it didn't have essential kitchen tools every kitchen needs just two glasses and two plates. So don't expect to cook there! Anyway it is close to the market (10 minutes walking) where are lot's of food places, and few restaurants in that aria.Bus station 10-15 minutes away.

A Good Hotel for the Price

Pros: - You can get an exceptional view for a very reasonable price. We got a room with an ocean view and seeing the blue water every day was lovely. - Great TV with channels we enjoyed. The TV seemed like it had many features. This is also very good for sports fans since they have a lot of sports channels. My partner really enjoyed the TV. - Fantastic location in Seogwipo. Minutes away from great cafes, restaurants, and a short walk from the Market as well as bus stops. Probably one of the best locations in this area. - Staff were nice at the front desk. - Very spacious room. - Convenience store on the ground floor of the hotel which is a HUGE plus. If you need any snacks, beverages or basic toiletries, you don't have to go far. Neutral: - Breakfast was... OK. It was acceptable and not terrible, but we didn't enjoy it. If you need to just fill your tummy, it gets the job done. - Everything is a bit worn out and could do with some revamping. Rooms have the potential to be stunning but if you look closely, it's either a bit dirty or worn down. - When you get a 4-person room you expect a room that looks like it's meant for 4, but it was a bit odd that the second bed was just plonked in the middle of the living room, with the coffee table squeezed in one side, getting in the way. This is purely the layout of the room and it would be easy for the hotel to make this better. Consider placing the second bed between the first bed and the sitting area, instead of the middle of the sitting area. - I'll put this in 'Neutral' because it may be a matter of preference but please consider getting some thicker curtains. We had lovely big windows with lots of natural light in our room - this is great for when you're awake and walking around, but when you're trying to sleep, it's less relaxing. Cons: - No privacy when using the bathroom. No door separating the bathroom sink from the rest of the room and only a blurred-out glass door separating the toilet. I was very uncomfortable with this. - It doesn't matter if you put the 'Do Not Disturb' signal on, the cleaners will still bother you. They rang our doorbell multiple times over and over again EVERY single day even though we indicated we didn't want to be disturbed. If you're a parent putting a child down for a nap, this would be a huge hassle. - There needs to be more clarity around the WiFi situation. They gave us a help sheet and the WiFi instructions did not apply to us. There's a small box behind the TV (not noticeable) with the ID and password but this was not mentioned anywhere. When we got to the room, we were quite upset cause we thought the WiFi wasn't working (I work remotely so WiFi is important for my job) and it wasn't until we asked that we were told the real instructions. I will say the WiFI was good and fast, but I've considered it a 'con' because if we had never asked, we wouldn't have been able to use it. We really thought it just didn't work.

    Simple but odd

It's a simple hotel stay but with a rook design like a studio apartment, with the likes of sofa, kitchen, living room, bed and washrooms. All in all was a great stay, if not for the strange, odd sight of brown papers, pinned across door of rooms which I presume to be empty. But bearing in mind, it's low travel season, the entire floor may have only 1 or 2 rooms stay, and the rest of the doors are pinned with big brown paper across. It's kinda creepy as my kids put it.

    Terrible experience in Jeju

Room was okay EXCEPT the bed right after we laid down on bed me and my fiance started to feel itch. We stayed in 4 different hotels in Jeju but it only happened in The island blue hotel So I claimed about this to manager and asked about if we can get a refund but what he said was 1. other guests are fine, but youre the only one who claiming about this problem. 2. So we cant do nothing for you. unless you bring the medical certificate now (what?) 3. theres no way that you can get a refund even tho you didnt use the room (huh) 4. its the hotel policy. if you want refund? then SUE US (you serious?) 5. Dont mess around. JUST GO (!!!) Sure it was not a enjoyable moment and I just walked out And had to find another hotel to stay at 8PM Great job you guys doing ! just keep it that way !
