  Interesting hotel

  The hotel is decorate in Europeian style. The room is meet 4-5 stars standard. The twin bed is a bit small (as same many hotel in Europe) The hotel is connect to tea stream valley. To go to Knight valley, there are 3 ways 1. Bus 2. Cable car 3. Funicular, recommend to check availability as the cable car and Funicular is not open everyday.

  The worst hotel stay experience I ever had

  I have heard about The Interlaken OCT Hotel quite a lot. I decided to spend a World Cup weekend at this hotel just for some fun and quality family time. I didn't expect this to be the most disappointed experience. When I checked in, I felt everything was all right. My experience stay in the hotel was 180 degree reversed. Here is how the nightmare started, I didnt watch the first game. I watched the second game half an hour in advance to see the comments by the pundits. Surprised! Such an important game the TV signal is jamed!!! It's dead! ! I immediately contacted the guest service then being transfer to the engineering department, here is the verdict by the engineer: change equipment it requires 1.5 hours. Alternatively change room, change rooms after 11 o 'clock in the evening?! We have been checked in for several hours; our stuff is already out and the kids toys etc. I asked the concierge "can you help me with the transfer?" "I'm sorry,sir,we are short staff right now so you have to move it yourself." "The problem is I have a child just fell asleep. How do I move him? Please tell your manager about it. The manager called. First of all, the guest's last name was wrong, and I reminded him that he had better look at the system. The manager said that was the only way to go, or go to their lobby bar. I spent thousands of RMBs for a world cup weekend in this hotel and you sent me to the lobby bar. Eventually, I did go down, and there were only five people there including the waiters. With great disappointment, I go back to my room and watch the game on my mobile. When I checked out the next day morning, I complained to the check-out staff about last night's situation and hoped that he could inform their manager. I feel amazing with his robot style and cold face. He finished the checked out mechanically and completely ignored me. Until I asked him, "are you listening?" He replied, "I'll inform my colleagues later." Without a word of apology or shame, the hotel service attitude can be so professional. I was ready to go to tea valley, when I asked the ticket centre, the staff told me tea valley now do not have anything to see, the greenhouse was torn down, something old, hasn't begun to repair after the typhoon weeks ago. Dont waste your money! What a honest staff ever met. In the evening, I wanted to go to hotel market, but only to find a Chinese restaurant and the HB bar open for business. That's terrible enough, except for disappointment and anger. I won't recommend anyone to go.

  Smelly damp room , bed literally damp to sleep in , windows leaking , no one speaks English .. mouldy carpets , poor hotel with a horrible gloomy depressing feel . Left with a cold and chest infection which must be down to the poor ventilation

  Big rooms

  I'm glad I chose the room at the front and not in the park. The rooms in the park look like wooden huts that are not well maintained. Our room is huge and the bathroom is big but outdated. It took us almost 10 min to get there because the hotel is also big. The breakfast was okay but the restaurant inside is really good. Airco however was not working well.

  Nice resort hotel

  We enjoyed our stay and meals at the hotel. Our room was spacious and amenities in line with my expectations. Not many westerners, and maybe that is why I view it as catering mainly to locals. It is especially convenient for getting around the theme park.
