  Quiet but poor customer service

  Nice location if you're looking to get away away from the crowds. Not my usual location but OK nonetheless. Pool could be bigger for the size of the hotel. I'm Diamond with Hilton and Titanium with Marriot so I know bad service when I see it. That being said; Aja at the front could definitely use an attitude adjustment. Very poor customer service with a side of put out attitude. Won't stay again.

  Clean and modern rooms

  The rooms are nicely decorated. We asked for a room with a view. We were on the beachside of the hotel, but there are several problems. All of them are oak trees. We could see the pool from our 4th-floor room, but could not see the beach or Gulf of Mexico. I think you'd have to get a 6th-floor room to see the Gulf.

  Overnight Getaway

  My husband and I stayed one night at the Holliday Inn Long Beach Mississippi over the Labor Day weekend. We brought our grandsons ages 11 and 7 just to get away for the night. We live just a little over an hour away. I usually dont write reviews but thought this info might be helpful. First off we didnt see any extra measures of cleaning that was stated on their website. Overall the hotel was dirty. We saw many guests not wearing masks. There was hand sanitizing stations in many locations but that was the only extra cleaning measures that we saw. Our room was dated and smelly. There was only 2 towels for our room for 4 guests. There were duvet covers on the bed which was surprising. Im pretty sure they werent laundered between guests. We recently stayed at another hotel in Gulfport and all the comforters and duvets had been removed. Thankfully we brought our own pillows and blankets. Their was nothing different in the room amenities that I saw except maybe full size bath gel and shampoo in the shower for everyone to use. Not safe or sanitary in my opinion. The bag breakfast was awful. There was a k cup coffee machine in the room but downstairs there were grab and go bags. There was cinnamon rolls, a couple pieces of fruit, some prepackaged muffins and breakfast burritos. There was no coffee, milk, or juice available. There was bottled water. The outside area by the pool was dirty. The trash was piled up and there was flies everywhere. There were 2 tables that were filthy. We got washcloths from the room to clean our table. Customer service was just ok. Nothing outstanding. The lack of cleanliness was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here.

  Well deserved break

  When in doubt stay here if you are looking for quiet yet beach atmosphere. Downtown Long Beach has a small, welcoming town feel. The hotel is doing some remodeling but we never heard it. The pool is Gulf side.
