  Nice location and free parking

  We stayed for one night on a Monday night. The town was surprisingly busy for a Monday night. The free parking is a plus just make sure you get a card from the front desk. You then can go in and out as much as you want. You do have to pull a generic ticket each time in though. Room was small but decorated nicely. The windows do not open to let in fresh air which was a little disappointing. Overall good for a 1 night stay.

  Pure convenience to quaint downtown Glenwood Springs

  We splurged $ on this hotel for its history and location alone. This is the hotel from where you have direct access to the the train depot (simply cross the street). All the rest of the hotels are barely within walking distance of downtown. The lobby is extremely small but I appreciate how its retained some of the original architecture. We've stayed in many other historical hotels, and they generally have modernized their amenities and bathrooms, which was unfortunately not the case at the Hotel Denver. We had a very big room with two queen beds but the bathroom was way too small and outdated. For its price point, there weren't those luxury details like expensive bedding, an expresso machine or high-end toiletries. It was quite charming to use a real hotel key for the first time in decades and it would be adorable if the Hotel Denver offered a replica fob from way back when. We were very happy with its proximity to downtown, however, and the staff was very nice.

  Friendly Staff, Perfect Location, and Great Experience

  We took the Amtrak train to Glenwood for a 3 night stay. Literally walked across the street and checked into the hotel with a very friendly and efficient staff member. We walked everywhere from this hotel. Even to City Market (0.7 miles away) to get some waters. Excellent restaurants are all around the hotel. Even the attached Brew Pub had outstanding Fish & Chips & their own veggie burger. Again, very friendly staff members. We stayed in a corner room which had plenty of natural light - and black-out curtains for sleeping in. We will likely stay here again on our next getaway to Glenwood!

  Perfect Location

  We debated whether to stay at the Hotel Denver, or try to save a few bucks and stay elsewhere. Glad we chose this location. Perfect for those coming into town on the train. No need for a taxi during your stay. Walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Beautiful pedestrian bridge connects across the river/highway. Elevators on south side, bridge at grade on north; so fully accessible. Just a short walk to the hot springs. There is a small coffee shop on the first floor with direct access for hotel guest. Perfect if you don't want to get dressed and go our for breakfast. Hotel offers discount tickets to hot springs, free towels to use, and a nice towel bag, which you can keep. Alex at the front desk is by far the best person I've ever dealt with in that position. He goes above and beyond when it comes to friendliness and service. Only negative, and not really a big one; room did not have a mini-fridge. When we return to Glenwood Springs, this is the only place we will stay.

  So glad we made this choice!

  Such a quaint hotel! So glad we chose it. The room feels so cozy and the bathroom was a nice size. We are a family of 4. Within walking distance to so many restaurants with to go options. The coffee shop that opens early morning with breakfast items was a plus for our early departure.
