  An excellent base for a motorcycle touring weekend in Wales.

  I would just like to say how much myself and my friend enjoyed our stay The Horseshoe Guesthouse; Paul, the owner, and his family were very welcoming, courteous and friendly. The twin room, Gwastedyn, was perfect for our needs, with plenty of space to store our motorcycle kit during our tour of mid-Wales; the room comes with with a large set of drawers and a sizeable cupboard which is big enough to hang a couple of sets of leathers in. The room was comfortable and clean, as were the beds. The bathroom was well appointed, clean and spacious. The en suite shower cubicle was a little on the small side, but again, this was clean and the shower worked perfectly. I brought my own shower gel, but it was nice to that see a bottle was provided. The full breakfast was spot on and sets you up perfectly for a days riding on the fantastic Welsh roads. There is the optional of ordering a 3-course evening meal for £16, so long as you do so before 10am. We didn't try this as we popped into town as there were plenty of places to eat out; maybe next time. There was plenty of room in the off street car park and, to our surprise, there were also 2 Tesla charging stations attached to the guesthouse's wall! There is a very good chance that we will use The Horseshoe again and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guesthouse to friends and family.

  Bit tired

  Just come back from staying at the horse shoe guest house for 3 nights.To be honest it is a bit tired looking.Myself and my 2 other friends all agreed on this.I also noticed some stains on the towels provided which isnt really acceptable.We all had full English breakfast and it was ok but poor quality sausages.To be charging £195 for 3 nights in a tired looking room with no en-suite is way overpriced.

  lovely place to stay

  the owners were very welcoming and friendly , served a hearty breakfast (fabulous) in a nice position in the town , owners offered plenty of help with their local knowledge of places to visit etc i would personally like to thank them for all help and information

  Great place to stay.

  Welcomed on arrival by Paul, who got us safely parked (six motorcycles). Good sized rooms with plenty of wardrobe and draw space. En suite bath + separate shower cubicle. Comfortable beds. Tasty, and plentiful, breakfast. Large lounge for plotting the days out. Local hostelries close by - our favourite, for its wide range of beers and good food, the Elan Hotel. Hope to be contacting Paul again to arrange another stay.

  Excellent

  Love visiting Rhayader and so enjoyed our break in the Horseshoe. We were up in the attic and it was absolutely magnificent, everything was provided including a decent hairdryer and lots of towels and shower gel! The host was lovely and will certain visit again with our new dog. Breakfast was top dollar and parking on site. Cant recommend enough
