  So helpful and hotel is clean and inviting

  We'd paid to stay at a hotel down the road through Booking.com which was appalling and Jenny & Terry were so kind to us and managed to fit us in - we paid the same price as the other property but that didn't include breakfast. Jenny opened the kitchen earlier for us for breakfast as we were at a dance competition which we really appreciated. The hotel is spotless and very homely - it was a safe haven for us after the hassle we'd had - highly recommend. Parking is a bit of a problem.

  Lovely hotel

  We arrived later than expected,was not a problem, hosts very nice and very helpful. clean rooms, breakfast was really nice made u feel welcome nothing was too much trouble all the staff were really nice.

  Lovely guesthouse

  We have stayed before and still had same welcome. Nice twin room on ground floor, everything you needed, more than enough storage, lovely white fluffy towels, toiletries, good shower, kettle, tea, coffeee etc. Lovely breakfast, cereal, fruit, juice, full English, toast, tea or coffee served by friendly staff. There is also a bar. Would recomnend and will return. Thankyou Helmshore.

  Friendly b&b

  We booked this accommodation mainly because it advertised parking, there are only 4 spaces and 36 rooms so this is a major problem. We were advised where to park which is a five minute walk away which is very secure with cctv , the prices were very reasonable. The hotel itself was in a good location. The hotel is dated but is very clean , all covid 19 precautions in place, staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and was included in the price.

  Poor for the money we paid

  My husband and I booked 2 nights at the Helmshore on reading the Booking.com reviews. We were so disappointed. We paid £176 for two nights in a shabby room with a view of grey buildings, and a very uncomfortable bed. I wouldn't even use the shower, and had to wash in lukewarm water as it never got hot. They say the hotel is disabled friendly, but it isn't good for wheelchair users. The ramp outside has such an incline to access it, you wouldn't manage in a wheelchair if you were alone. Access to the bathroom and lift was difficult, even in my very small chair. We were disappointed with the breakfast too. Toast was cold. We asked for more toast our first morning there, and never got it. We left without breakfast our 2nd morning. If they hadn't taken the money up front, we would have left and found another hotel.
