  Not as bad as you think!

  Stayed here last night and was quite skeptical about what to think but I kept an open mind. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are modern, off street parking, cheap bar and lovely owners. Good value for money I thought (booked last minute) and only £4 in a taxi to city centre :)

  Do not book at this hotel

  Me and a colleague made a booking for 3 days and made the payment through the travel agent. One day before leaving South Africa we received an email stating that the Hotel has been closed, without being refunded. At arrival in Bradford we went to the hotel and find a young man there that simply stated the hotel was taken over, and he could not help. We lost our money!

  do not book here

  Booked 2 rooms in march for tour de france weekend in July. Arrived friday to be met by locked door, dirty frontage and very unpleasant, unhelpful, grubby man who informed us the hotel had recently changed hands and was full and that he would not honour our booking. To be honest we wouldn't have stayed even if rooms had been available. Unpleasant, unfriendly and not to be recommended under any circumstances.

  Do not book here

  I had the misfortune of booking this hotel for a festival, first of all the outside of the hotel had dirty mattress, ripped bin bags and empty beer kegs. You try and get into the hotel and the doors are locked you press the bell as instructed by the note on the door and nothing happens, I then had to ring their number for someone to let me in and the gentlemen that opened the door was stood in track suite bottoms and a dirty hoodie not the best front of house. You walk into the room and there is an old bottle of shampoo left and hairs on the bathroom which has been very nicely refurbished, however there was left over rose petals in the wardrobe and no towels in the room. Probably because they are all in reception on a chair; I would never stay here again.

  Basic and functional - worth it if you get the room cheaper than an Ibis or Travelodge

  I was staying alone and looking for an adequate hotel in the area that was decent enough. Having left it too late to get into the Shipley Ibis or similar, I found this one on Late Rooms for £30pn. yes you do need to ring a bell on arrival, the new owner was pleasant, no frills, he permitted me to bring my pedal bike in and i was fine with the room. It is an older building and lacks the fundamental modern services of a chain hotel in the price range, but it is situated on the famous Lister Park, and i found the place to be fine for what i was prepared to pay that night for one person. it did what i expected it to, the owner clearly has his work cut out, but who hasnt...
