  Just Fantastic

  We are hoping to move to New Bern this year and chose Hanna House (if I'm honest) because of the menu! We spent four nights in the German Mill Room (that's the one with the amazing bath). In this Covid era, it felt quite nerve wracking before we arrived as we are both retired and therefore in the 'at risk' group. We need not have worried. Camille wore a mask or kept a good distance when we talked with her and Joe kept his distance too. What a lovely home!!! Wow - beautiful and sympathetically decorated/restored. Felt very much at home and the breakfasts......well......they were everything they promised! Beautiful fresh cooked food. Most things home made - bread, jam, their own honey, cakes etc. You really do not need to eat much at all during the day. We had freshly squeezed orange juice and there was a fruit 'starter' before breakfast each day - warm peaches with apple, nut and cinnamon filling, warmed plums with a yummy sauce and melon, mango and blueberry mix. Afternoon glass of sherry with cake was a real treat. The whole place had a European vibe. Just wonderful. As we were checking neighborhoods out, Camille could not have been more helpful.   Incredible place, wonderful breakfasts!

  This home is absolutely beautiful with interesting treasures and paintings and prints everywhere. The breakfast menu was wonderful and my only regret is that I could not stay long enough to have everything on the menu! The hosts were so friendly and helpful and have created an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity in this lovely home. Two nights were not long enough-I hope to return!

  Lovely B&B, Friendly iinnkeepers, and the breakfast - Amazing!!

  We've been wanting to visit New Bern for years, and the Hanna House was the perfect location! Beautiful place, and a great location, walking distance to shopping, dining and the water. Camille was friendly without being intrusive, and provided good direction for dinner when we arrived a liittle late. Joe and I chatted as well about fishing. The breakfast choices were unbelievable and were as good as the descriptions made them sound! I loved the southern eggs benedict, and I also had a savory french toast dish. and my wife loved hers too.

  As Everyone Says.....

  So it looks like the the B&Bs are alongside each other on the main entry to downtown. Hanna is a remarkable renovation of a place that was going to be demolished....Our room had a museum quality display of samplers going back 200 years. Only one thing: the house creaks at night and only at night. And as others have noted, don't even get started about the breakfast. A menu the night before, and a gourmet meal the next morning. Never seen this before and we've been to many. Just wow. Great value.

  Lovely 2 Night Stay

  We loved staying here for our visit to historic New Bern! The location is amazing- we could walk everywhere we wanted. Beautiful furnishings and amazing breakfast and snacks. The only downside was we didnt have enough time to do all the recommendations- well have to come back soon to finish them off!
