  Welcoming hotel

  First stay here and I am very impressed. Lovely comfortable room. The restaurant had lovely friendly staff and the meal was delicious. The bathroom has all the necessary toiletries. There is even an iron and ironing board, Im glad I chose this hotel.

  Special Occasion

  I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough Gorgeous food and top class old fashioned service I always book here for special birthdays and occasions Good parking at the rear Always book ahead You will not be disappointed

  VERY DISAPPOINTING AND SHORT SIGHTED RESPONSE

  We have used this restaurant over the last 3 decades throughout the year for family celebrations and also held my late father's wake there - we spend a fortune and always leave a VERY generous tip. We were booked for Mothers Day lunch but with Mum being over 80 and a brother with a recently diagnosed weak immune system and heart problem, we sadly have to cancel in line with the PM's advice. Explained all to the hotel and asked if there was any chance the deposit could be held over to re-book at the soonest opportunity but it was a flat no. It's not the money at stake here for us, it's the principal and we will not be going again after 3 decades

  Excellent

  Food was perfect . Tasty and freshly cooked . Service excellent and attentive . Ate in conservatory due to COVID but actually really lovely setting . Owner concerned about all measures being in place . Felt very safe .

  Small September Wedding

  Due to Covid my son had to postpone his wedding from March and it was eventually held in September 2020 with the maximum permitted 30 guests. The weather was lovely and we were able to have the ceremony outside and the welcome drinks outside which was lovely. The staff worked very hard at short notice to make the day safe and special. The bride had the use of the bridal suite to get ready and the hotel provided sandwiches on request. The room for the reception was well spaced and was following all of the guidelines in place at that time. The meal was wonderful with the most delicious food served beautifully. Despite the lack of dancing etc the atmosphere was full of fun and laughter and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. I would recommend the Grove House to any couples thinking of having a wedding in the future.
