Very goodStayed just the one night for a fishing trip but found our room, in the garden area, a bit on the small side with not great ventilation, so i asked for an upgrade which I was prepared to pay for. We were given the Hayloft(?) the top room upstairs which was stunning and complete with a sitting area and a bath in the bedroom- all for no extra cost . I believe this is also the bridal suite ,all very romantic and beautifully decorated. We were extremely grateful and then enjoyed some lovely oysters and lobster in the wood panelled restaurant together with a first rate bottle of white wine which came recommended by the friendly and fun sommelier. It was a bit pricey (£65) but he offered to half that! Even more grateful ! Breakfast was first rate and plentiful. Thank you so much, from what I can see you have made a fabulous job of updating all the rooms and the décor is extremely attractive. We look forward to visiting again.

Lovely!Stayed here for one night to celebrate my birthday. Cant fault the place. Beautiful room (Cannon room with the most amazing bathroom!), amazing service and great food. The hotel is being restored to its former glory but that didnt matter as it wasnt intrusive. Limited menu but the quality of food was just amazing. Great value for money & well worth a visit.

Enjoyable lunchReview is for lunch rather than the hotel. Very good covid security measures in place Dropped in for lunch without any reservation, very lucky to get a table as the restaurant was full. Tables well spaced. The place is fairly traditional but that is an asset in many respects, service very good. Wide range of options on the lunchtime menu, freshly cooked and flavoursome. Service very good, prices reasonable. Now need to go back and try the hotel.

Birthday lunchWhat a lovely lunch. I took my mother and father to lunch at the Grosvenor to celebrate my mother's 75th. The main dining room has been completely redecorated in a lovely light cream and green colour scheme. It's like sitting in a conservatory and is a massive improvement on the dark brown panelling there before. We were looked after beautifully by John and the team. We had the set lunch menu which was a real treat and very reasonably priced. A perfect place for lunch or supper to take our minds off the new norm. Well done to the new owners for the quality of the food, staff, service and ambience. We will be back. Thank you.

Highly recommendWe had such a wonderful stay at The Grosvenor Hotel. It has beautifully decorated bedrooms each with very individual detailing. The beds are enormous, luxuriously large in size with divine bed linen, such a treat. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the recently decorated dining room, it had a super atmosphere and made for such a fun evening. The food was delicious and the service superb. A fabulous menu and all beautifully presented, hard to find such standards outside of London. I cannot recommend it enough.
