AmazingFrom the first step into this establishment my wife & I were treated beyond expectations. We had booked a room in the annexed lodging which was dressed well, furnished nicely and stocked with local teas & its own WiFi. My wife observed Plenty of room in the bathroom too, with good mirrors for make up Inside the pub, the attention to detail is confirmed, order a cocktail, it was New Years Eve, the landladys knowledge is brilliant, no checking in a book, boom ! Correct glass, well made, perfectly presented. As previously mentioned it was new year so an extra event had been arranged by way of a casino without cash, a complimentary token of £150 for each person & professional black jack tables & roulette.. the canopies were amazing & a smorgasbord of quality were provided. We learned later that the landlord gained his knowledge from service on Cunard lines QE2, and does it show! A full menu menu including daily specials is available, I strongly recommend booking a table and will definitely return bringing more friends to experience this slice of gastronomic heaven wrapped in an country pub.

New Years EveFabulous place so friendly and 5 star customer service. Being ex cruise working the landlord was spot on and so professional as was his wife and other staff. We had an annex room best bath ever. So homely and lovely bed slept very well . We had an excellent night for NYE it was a bond night. Food was fabulous and really friendly. New Years Day had lunch in place of breakfast and it was wonderful. We will definitely be back and would recommend this wonderful pub / hotel to anyone.

Tremendous visitVisited the gorgeous area of Sydling St. Nicholas & Cerne Abbas and stayed at the Greyhound Inn. The accommodation was superb, dog friendly and the main thing for us was not staying in an over zealous Covid environment, which they got just about right. We travelled on after our visit to the coast to Eype near Bridport and the hotel there had absolutely ridiculous measures in place which spoilt any enjoyment or atmosphere. Back to the Greyhound and we can recommend the food and service of being a high standard + there were a good selection of real ales (which made hubby happy). All in all a very satisfactory stay.

Great place, friendly & helpful staff - Highly recommendLovely hotel & Pub. We were working nearby and booked into the . Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast time however the staff sorted us a breakfast lunchbox which we collected before we left in the morning - this was a wonderful thing to do and not expected. The pack they put together was superb and kept us going all day. The staff were on hand all evening to cater for our every need and someone got up early to give us our breakfast takeaway - top drawer effort from everyone. I would highly recommend staying here and will do so myself in the future
