  Clean and Comfortable

  On arrival the staff where most helpful and booking in was accomplished with ease. The room was clean and comfortable and was also nice and warm despite the inclement weather. Tea and Coffee where provided along with a couple of packs of biscuits. Breakfast was buffet style which suits those in a hurry. The eggs where however cold , otherwise the selection was small but very well presented and tasty. The only other downside was the fact that you have to pay for the car park next to the Hotel, £15 for 24 hours. I couldn't find anywhere that this was mentioned, so,beware that this is in addition to the booking price. Would I stay again? the answer would be a big yes now that I am aware of the car park price.

  Flashing lights

  The accommodation was comfy as in the bed, a seating area and cupboards. However the en suite was a different matter. The light flashed constantly more like being in a rave than going for a shave. The floor tiles were cracked and loose. This made closing the door awkward. Myself and husband stayed over night. Initially there was only 1 towel provided, we were given a 2nd one when going to reception. At this point I mentioned the tiles and light. He said that maintenance would deal with it. In the morning my husband mentioned the light and was told this was noted on Monday, it was now Thursday :-(. So the price was fair for what was offered. However we needed to add £15 for the parking in the car parking. This then made the deal not such a great deal. The breakfast was average, but the pot of tea and fruit juice hit the spot.

  Smelly and noisy, avoid!

  The room I was given was very different to those in the photos! The first thing that hit me was the smell of body odour mixed with excrement, which I could smell all night. There were large stains on the worn out carpet, the chair was ripped, the curtains were paper thin and with the bright street lights it was like a bright sunny day all night which made it impossible to sleep. The single glazing did not keep out the traffic noise from the main road outside and it was very noisy. The breakfast was not great, the bacon was like dried shoe leather. Overall, it was horrendous. I stay in many hotels, and hardly ever write reviews, but I want to warn you not to stay here! You might get the room in the photo, but you might get the room I had!

  Very convenient

  This hotel is very well situated if you have meetings in the area. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was nice. The rooms looking over the main road are a little noisy so it would be worth requesting quiet ones. There is no lift. We didn't eat in, but the menu looked interesting and prices were very reasonable.

  Quiet Location

  popped in for drinks as we were waiting for the family who had been swimming. Had Breaded Brie Salad and Cheese & Onion Quiche with drinks. food Ok and service OK. Barman could have been friendlier. he manged to be chatty with the regulars but not to us.
