  A little piece of heaven

  We have just returned from 4 nights staying in cowslip cottage at The Grainary. On arrival there was a note from Lynda advising and apologising about the heating not coming on downstairs. This wasn't a problem as heaters were provided and we were more than warm enough... and the wine helped.. thank you! This is our 2nd time visiting the grainary and although we were disappointed there was no lovely cooked breakfast available anymore, we managed quite well. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean and the lounge is cosy and comfortable. Just 15 minutes into Scarborough. We travelled all over but make sure you go to harbour bar in Scarborough for kids and adults alike! The ice cream is amazing! A special thank you to Lollie the dog, we nearly got her to come home with us but she knows where her home is. Thank you again Lynda and John for a wonderful 5 days, we hope to come back next summer and we hope to be able to sample your lovely food again!

  Awesome little cottage

  We arrived at The Grainary at half past six. We walked into a small entryway with stairs to the left. The kitchen was the first room, it was spacious, clean and modern with a dining table for six. Through a small arch was a spacious living room with a T.V, D.V.Ds and a docking station. A door off the living room was the downstairs bedroom, with twin beds and an ensuite bathroom. French doors lead out into a fenced and secure courtyard, ideal for those with dogs. Upstairs where another two ensuite bedrooms, with plenty of storage space for clothing. The cottage is ideal and great value for money. We just did a short stay but even for a longer stay it's a great little chill zone in a lovely, quiet, rural location

  Another fantastic time

  This is about the 5th time Ive stayed at the cottages we stayed in Foxglove cottage they are all fantastic but I love the view in this one. Its about 20 mins drive from Whitby and is very peaceful and like home from home. Hope to stay again soon. Its also very safe if people are worried about COVID

  Cowslip Cottage

  Just back from a four night stay in Cowslip Cottage at The Grainary. Superb self-catering accommodation - beautiful lounge, spacious, fully-equipped kitchen-diner with oven, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the two bedrooms (one double and one twin) each had their own en-suite bathroom with over bath shower. Outside there was a lovely patio area with table and chairs, fully enclosed, so ideal for children and dogs. Beautiful views over the countryside and some nice walks round the farmland. Friendly horses and donkeys and a very large and hairy pig - called Miss Piggy, of course! Owing to Covid, the farm shop and restaurant were unfortunately closed but the staff, whom we chatted to, were all very friendly and helpful. We have had a wonderful holiday and will return, I'm sure.

  Cottage Holiday

  Once again another wonderful stay in Foxglove Cottage. Felt very safe and relaxed with all the Covid measures in place. This place is so peaceful and relaxing, we have the most lovely time everytime we go and never want to leave. The views from the cottage/farm are stunning. As Scarborough/Filey were very busy we spent more time than normal at the cottage relaxing, which was the best, could totally forget about the mad world a few miles up the road. Lovely to see John and Lynda again and thank you both for a lovely stay. Can't wait to come back...
