  Está bien

  La habitación está bien y es muy grande, con unos ventanales muy bonitos. La cama es muy grande y cómoda. El cuarto de baño tb está bien. Me gustó el desayuno parte buffet y parte hecha al momento. Nos trataron bien. El problema es que no hay ascensor y subir las escaleras, que son unas cuantas con las maletas es un poco fastidiado. Además era caro para lo que era pero es que en estas fechas los hoteles en esta ciudad. Este sitio está bien.

  Avoid. At all costs

  A rip-off, pure and simple. Room 6 is dated and shabby: the bed-side lamp didnt work, as the two-prong plug had only one prong. Coat-rack hanging by one screw. Like another reviewer, I also found a half-full can of Stella Artois hiding behind a curtain. No wi-if available, an unbelievable thing in the 21st century. An emailed request for information to the hotel office went unanswered. No daily cleaning. Covid-19 was used as an excuse: rooms not cleaned daily, towels would be exchanged and bins emptied every second day, if you remembered to put the Please clean my room sign on the door. The room remained un-hoovered and uncleaned over five days. I should have thought that Covid would have meant extra-vigilant cleaning, but not here. Covid is being used as a ruse to employ a minimum, skeleton staff in the hotel, one chambermaid and one barmaid. But the hotel is still charging premium prices! The bar was closed on three out of five days: the only reason given was a badly-written, mis-spelt notice on the door blaming Covid regulations. So, there is no common lounge-area in the hotel, other than in your shabby room! No breakfast provided. The hotel had clearly decided that providing breakfast would require more staff, so they simply offered a refund of £5 p.p.p.d. Also, providing breakfast would require the bar area to be open and they preferred to have it closed: much cheaper! There is no reception, so there is nowhere to complain. Crafty! Avoid. At all costs. You will be sorely disappointed.

  Please Avoid

  The location is really good, close to golf course and town center. Having stayed in St Andrews before we know that costs of hotels here are higher than other towns but this hotel is very overpriced. We stayed in room 10 for 2 days, its tiny nowhere to put your clothes, decor very badly finished, cheap white bedside lamps had been painted to try and match rest of decor !, being an electrician i noticed that the appliance safety testing was out of date and there was a dangerously wired plug top being used, we know that it is difficult times at this moment but this hotels bar and restaurant both closed when every other hotel we visited were serving food and drinks, ashtray on wall at front entrance to hotel was overflowing when we arrived and it had not been emptied when we left, nobody around to answer any queries or fix any problems, not good

  Not as advertised

  Firstly, the room & location are great. HOWEVER although still advertised, the bar & restaurant are closed for the foreseeable future due to covid, but you will not find out until you have paid and confirmed. This is unacceptable, either correct the wording to reflect the truth or allow all bookings to be cancelled regardless of less than 7 days or not. Most people are booming late because of potential rule changes, its only fair they are provided with all the information. Additionally there are no staff, just a series of emails & codes to access the rooms. No customer service there at all. What happens if there is a problem. Everywhere else is managing to provide at least a restricted customer service. I think It's a massive mistake to not put all this information out there so customers can make a choice. If you want the restrictions response as you have it, then fine but tell us BEFORE we book.

  Comfortable and clean. Price was right and location good. Was slightly upset to receive a call questioning whether key had been left as instructed. Threatened with £85 charge. Some back and forth later, the key turned up in the room. Left a bad after taste. Would likely stay elsewhere now when back in St Andrews.
