A very enjoyable and relaxing stayThe Glen is a wonderful place to stay, the owners are very welcoming, we were looking for a relaxing break and were really pleased from start to finish. The breakfast is delicious and the portion sizes were plentiful. The room we stayed in was light and spacious and the cleanliness was of a very high standard. We have already booked to stay again. The surrounding area is beautiful and ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors all year round.

Excellent stay at The GlenWe visited The Glen for 3 nights during a trip to Selkirk to see family and friends we hadn't seen since Christmas. We were visiting from Lossiemouth and had our dog with us. After a long drive we were delighted with our spacious, comfortable room which had plenty space for the dogs bed and her bowls etc. The bed was so comfortable, we had a great nights sleep every night. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning and were made to feel welcome and at home by the owners. We were grateful to find somewhere that accommodated pets! We will stay here when visiting again. Thanks again!

Lovely hotel perfect for overnight Borders stopoverStopped 1 night at The Glen on the way from Yorkshire to St Andrews. We had 2 rooms - the ground floor disability double and a first floor twin. Rooms were a de shy size and had all mod cons. Ground floor room had gorgeous view of garden, stained glass windows and a useful wet room. The only slight negative was the noise from the bar and staff coming and going in to private area and door slamming but it didnt go on past 11pm. Big hearty cooked breakfast was really well cooked and delicious. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and would definitely stay again. Ate at The Gordons Arms a few miles away and this was a great place for a meal.

Perfect, would highly recommendLovely hotel, beautiful and handy location, cleaned to a very high standard. Specious comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff, nothing was a problem. As has been said.... 'home from home'. Can't reccomend highly enough. Huge choice for breakfast and hearty portions, very tasty and of high quality. Spent 1 night with 2 rooms while catching up with a friend. Would most definately return if visiting the area. Very compliant with the current restrictions also.

Lovely building, shame about the dinner. The building is beautiful and our room was large, well furnished, warm and with a wonderful view. Breakfast was fine, but beware of the evening meal. It has to be ordered in advance, only available on certain days, no choice and only served at 6.30. We were served sausages in a large Yorkshire pudding followed by Sticky toffee pudding for which we were charged almost £20 each! Not value for money.
