Great placeIf you're in the area or driving through, you really must stay at this place. While the hotel was built in the 1920's, it is clean, stylish, and fascinating. The rooms are just excellent -- spacious and with comfortable beds. If you're tired of cookie cutter places to stay, take a chance on this treasure. In addition to the hotel itself being interesting, Tim (the manager) was amazing as a host. Polite, attentive, and knowledgeable, he's dedicated to making your stay a great one. He even gave me a tour of the hotel and explained the history behind some of the spaces. Several places to eat are within walking distance, and parking is easy. This is one of the best AirBnb places I've stayed in. Thanks for a great stay, Tim!

A Great StayThis magnificent hotel breathes American history and sophistication. We extended our what was to be a two night wedding venue into a several night experience to take in the city's extensive history. Tim and his excellent staff knew us by first names and treated us with their vast knowledge of the hotel's place in American history. The hotel's celebrity guests include Al Capone, Henry Ford, Lou Gehrig, Harry Truman and even "The Monkees!" JFK gave a speech from an indoor balcony. Ours was a suite named after a frequent guest, Marilyn Monroe. Most rooms offer a panoramic view of historic Washington, PA. Parking is easy. Its original, elaborate lobby immediately transforms you into the 1920's. The hotel's two hundred plus rooms preserve it's original historical architecture, priceless murals, elaborate dining and banquet rooms, secret passageways and even a hidden speakeasy! Ask for the personal tour. We're coming back.

Amazing Anniversary @ Quaint HotelFirst of all, from the very 1st phone call talking to Tim about hosting my parents 50th wedding anniversary gathering here, I knew it was going to be perfect. And it was! The building itself is historic and extremely quaint. The people that work here are dedicated and go out of their way to create the best experience for their guests. Tim followed up with me several times to work out special details, all personal phone calls, when does that happen these days? They booked our family in the Marilyn Monroe, Beetles, & Bob Hope suites and they did not disappoint. So much room to spread out, space to gather to play games with the family. Roomy bathrooms & great towels. Our anniversary celebrations were held in the Mount Vernon room, bright, airy and lots of sunshine! The staff took such care in setting everything up for us beautifully. The breakfast was so yummy! The biscuits and gravy, yummy eggs, and the lattkes, not to mention the cinnamon French toast-oh my gosh! The building is beautiful. The staff will even walk you around & give you a historical tour, touching on the vast history of this place. Tim and the rest of the staff make this place what it is. THANK YOU!

Great hotel with a lot of historyWe stayed here for my parents' 50th Anniversary weekend. The hotel is great and historic with several really cool themed rooms. The staff recommended the Marilyn Monroe suite for my parents and they loved it. We were in Bob Hope. Nice bed and big sitting area- the couch was super comfy. As expected in an older hotel, there weren't a lot of outlets that were in convenient places but that was a small thing. This hotel is made by the staff. Tim, Lashawna, and the rest were so good to us. The food the main chef made for our breakfasts was unbelievable. Diet blown! The sausage gravy was the best I may have ever had. Since it was offseason, the price was not bad at all. Thank you to the staff here for making this a very special weekend for my family. One we won't forget.
