  Campervan Trip

  First stop on our family campervan trip. Lovely, friendly owner and great site. The adjacent family friendly pub had delicious food especially the curry. There was a live band playing till late which gave a mini Glastonbury feel.

  FANTASTIC PLACE TO CAMP

  We booked here for 2 nights with friend and children and I can honestly say it's been one of our best trips, and made some amazing memories and friends. We was stripped back to basics quite literally, but it was so much fun and the children loved being in the outdoors and making their own entertainment. The staff were AMAZING and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and adhere to our needs, I will definitely be returning, we loved it so much we booked a extra night. The birds of prey over the cow field of a morning was just stunning to watch, and the bats of a night put on a lovely display whilst using our gas light to get their food. What more can you ask for £10 a night. The food is delicious and good value and quantity for money, the beef curry is to the for so succulent and juicy. Love this place and can't wait to go back. So thank you to all the staff that made us feel so welcome.

  Awful place

  We was booked in to camp behind this pub . on arrival pub was close at 12.15 check in is after 12 . No one answers the door door bell broken Didn't answer phone grass look like it hadn't been cut for a long time so sat in car park looking on phone for alternative camp site as apart from the lack of attention the whole place look tatty

  NO REASON FOR CANCELATION - NOT IMPRESSED

  Sadly I cannot review the gate hangs high as they cancelled my booking (made through booking.com) - the only reason I can think of is that they wanted more money for the room we booked. It was a very good price (was to be end of October) - also more people were booking UK stays - so we were informed our booking was cancelled. I then went onto booking . com and found our accommodation at the same dates for THREE times the price we were to pay. Nice way to do business BUT also a nice way to lose customers.

  Take away Mothering Sunday meal

  Absolutely diabolical, words cannot describe the meal. Supposed to be a treat for Mothering Sunday, we thought wed try a different local pub, big mistake I will never eat there when restrictions are lifted.
