  Good one night stay

  We stayed one night .On the plus side you get wifi tv a small on suite bathroom .Can make tea or coffee in room .Also in center of Dullstroom. On the minus side it is noisy with trucks going past every few minutes .Also no on site parking only parking in the street .Did not feel the car was safe. Suggest a mirror in bedroom as the bathroom is so small only one person can get done at a time.With a mirror the husband can at least use his electric razor while wife is getting done.

  Central location.

  Good for an overnight stay. Right above Art food for a good dinner or breakfast. Small kitchen if you would like to cater for yourself. TV with DSTV. comfortable bed. Close to main road that runs through Dullstroom so if you are a light sleeper, the trucks will keep you awake.

  DON'T GO!

  A friend of ours, who was showing us around South Africa had booked this place for stay on Christmas night en route to Kruger. We flew into Jo'burg and arrived at the property thick of the night and no one was to be found. We called the owner's number and were received by a curt voice saying she has been trying to call us to inform that we had to pay in advance etc. for the confirmation, but that call never came. Nevertheless we were there with small children and the owner refused entry because of this and wasn't at all helpful in helping us find a solution. Imagine someone in the hospitality industry behaving this way, that too on a Christmas night with family and children! Inhumane and heartless is what I can say about her.....don't ever go to this place as there are plenty of other places out in Dullstroom.

  Noisy

  June 2018 Rooms are good size, BUT 0 degrees at night. Very poor heating. No airconditioner just little wall heater and insufficiant floor heater. VERY NOISY at night. Next to a restaurant and trucks driving on the main road outside your window.

  Convenient, clean and cosy

  On our first weekend away after COVID lockdown we spent an evening in Dullstroom. The Gables was perfectly clean and well appointed with everything one needs when just looking for a comfortable place to sleep and change. The location on the high street can not be beaten. Thank you to our attentive hostess Leah for her effort!
