    My New Favorite Hotel

    Run don't walk, to this new beautiful, newly renovated Franklin Hotel is now my new favorite hotel in NYC, away from the hustle, bustle of Mid-town with Old NYC charm. Jessica greeted me in the warm, cozy reception area after the easy, safe, and quite possibly the BEST parking in NYC. Lot is safe and secure with plenty of attendants to help. Hotel had a great location, gorgeous views. I had all the amenities of home which made it so enjoyable to arrive back to my room after a busy day of work. Comfy beds and high end bedding. Clean, Clean, Clean! Felt so safe during these trying in times.

    Clean Rooms and Friendly Staff

    I stayed for a long weekend a few weeks back and I was not disappointed! The staff was very friendly and always greeted me as I passed by. I was SO impressed at how clean the rooms were, you can tell the staff takes pride in their work!! I called the hotel prior to ask which rooms were most spacious as I had to work while I was there and they suggested their King Premium room. It was well appointed with a great work space and was everything I needed to be able to work and relax. I cant wait to bring my family with me next time for a staycation. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants and running paths which was an added bonus for me!

    Cozy, nicely-located gem

    I spent a night at The Franklin because my usual haunt was converted to condos and it's in the same neighborhood. Fell in love instantly: attentive, friendly, knowledgeable staff; charming, clean, well-appointed room; great proximity to museums; wonderful restaurants nearby; parking garage (also with great staff) immediately adjacent. I cannot wait to return!

    Homey away from home

    Friendly staff was attentive and responsive to my needs - from opening doors, recommending a restaurant, to helping me with the buttons on the remote control for the (exceedingly quiet!) heater/AC unit. My room was on the 9th floor not facing the street making it quiet (by NYC standards). It had everything I needed to spend the night and relax after a long day working in midtown. Though there were hotels closer to where I was working, I wanted to stay in a residential area and in a smaller hotel with fewer people coming & going to minimize COVID exposure. They offered me a cookie when I arrived, coffee in the morning, and there was complimentary bottled water in my room. Parking could not be easier: there is a loading zone directly outside and partnership with the neighboring garage. Location is great: 1 block from 86th St 4/5/6 train, and cabs are easy to hail on Lexington.

    Great upper Eastside Hotel

    I was coming in for a weekend to be with my friends on the upper Eastside so I asked my buddy in the construction business if he had any recommendations. He mentioned that there was a newly renovated hotel named the Franklin on 87th St. I googled the name and got the number. I called and found the rates were reasonable, so I booked the weekend. Well what a nifty place this turned out to be! The first thing that hits you is the red neon sign on the canopy. Located between Lexington and Third, there was everything in the area you could want. The rooms were fresh with very easy to use heating controls. Its a small hotel but offered everything I could want. It has a lounge area with great Wi-Fi and an area where I can get coffee and pastries. The staff was very conscientious about Covid protocols. I would highly recommend this hotel.
