  Couldn't Have Been Better!

  The Fife & Drum Inn was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to immerse ourselves in the American colonial period during our visit to Williamsburg and the Inn filled the bill. The location was perfect. The front door delivers you to the center of the shopping district and right next to Aromas, a bustling cafe that appears to the be center of the local social scene. Colonial Williamsburg is only a block away. We didn't see any other Inns, B&Bs, or even hotels for that matter located so centrally. The owners/innkeepers are conspicuously present every morning and comfortably attentive to your every need. Sharon is a multigenerational Williamsburgian and, along with her husband Billy, are great curators of your daily agendas. We spent 4 nights at the Inn and enjoyed 3 uniquely marvelous days. Billy and Sharon turned us onto some sites and food we would have never found on our own. If you want to do Williamsburg right, we suggest you stay at the Fife and Drum Inn.

  Perfect romantic getaway

  Our stay at the Fife and Drum was wonderful. It is centrally located for shopping, restaurants, and the Colonial Williamsburg experience. We didn't need to use our car once during our trip. The mattress and bedding were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. The owner was very hospitable. He accommodated our early check-in and parking requests. We are looking forward to returning again soon!

  A great B&B in the middle of Colonial Williamsburg

  The Fife & Drum Inn is an absolutely delightful local B&B in downtown colonial Williamsburg. The owners, Sharon and Billy (dont call him Bill) are most accommodating and gracious hosts who make you feel home. They go out of their way to tell you all about Williamsburg, what to do and where to dine and shop. The quaint little inn is a must see to appreciate. Id happily stay there on my next visit.

  Amazing Weekend

  I could not be happier with my experience at the Fife & Drum. The owners went above and beyond to ensure a lovely stay and enjoyable time. The inn was beautifully decorated down to the last detail. Our room was incredibly clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had the pleasure of staying in the William & Mary room and it was just adorably enchanting. The location was perfect; right in the center of town and within walking distance to everything. Absolutely lovely weekend, thank you Billy & Sharon.

  Great Place For A Writing Retreat

  I really enjoyed my stay at the Fife and Drum Inn this past week. I stayed three nights and had a successful, productive, and relaxing writing retreat. I am local to the WIlliamsburg area but I try to get away every 3 months or so to write without interruption. I will definitely be back. The only thing that I was disappointed with is that there is no access to a microwave. The last time I was there they did have one. Not a big deal, though.
