  3bight staycation.

  Stayed at the Fernside for 3 nights, absolutely great location, first impression -was a bit dated but Stewart is slowly doing the place up and it will be really lovely when done. Amazing breakfast, great value for money. What a great bloke /top host Stewart is,... thank you for a great stay and being so lovely and helpful..... keep doing what your doing Jude & Gary Hamble

  A Home From Home.

  We stayed at the B and B for a week in July. Stuart was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent, everything that you could want. Stuart even opened the bar one evening especially for me! We stayed in the new room and the only minor gripe is that the bathroom was rather small - but you don't go on holiday to sit in the bathroom do you?

  Great break.

  Homely,clean,friendly and good location. Just a 5-10 minute walk to shops, pier and beach. Not far from train to Ryde or Shanklin, quite an experience! We recommend a Rover bus pass valid for 2 days, good value.We will be returning.

  A real dog friendly home from home

  My wife and I stayed here for a week with our little Cockerpoo on a fairly last minute booking in late September 2020. We worried how safe it would be to go away at all under the current climate, but my wife ,having worked under terrible pressure at the NHS really needed a break and we didn't want to leave the dog at home if possible. We needn't have worried at all.Stuart and Angela have everything organised to perfection.The Guest House,although dog friendly including their own two really friendly dogs,Winston and Mabel is spotlessly clean and completely Covid prepared. Stuart booked our ferry journeys for us and was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay as was Angela with her perfectly cooked breakfasts.Our double room with en suite facilities was a good size and had everything we needed. There was also adequate parking there during our stay. We felt completely at ease having Jess,our dog with us which made the holiday for us.There is still lots to do on the Isle of Wight even though some places are currently closed,Particularly recommended are the Steam Railway and of course Osborne House, which is worth going to just for the grounds alone if you have a dog.We would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it whether you are bringing your dog or not!

  Nice weekend break

  Dog friendly hotel, extremely clean and very comfortable. Stuart very helpful and booked our ferry crossing for us, including amending our return booking. Great breakfast with a good choice. Parking available.
