  Great little guesthouse!

  The Fawley is a small family run Guest house in Shanklin in the Isle of Wight. Location wise it's right by the Shanklin beach and only a few minutes walk from the Shanklin old town and the Chine. Be warned that it is a very steep hill from the beach to the hotel and getting to your room can involve a few flights of stairs so i'd recommend it more if you are physically fit. We mostly had the place to ourselves in the day so it had a nice sense of privacy. Our room was very big, clean and comfortable. It also had a view of the road and the beach from the main window. Deborah is a friendly host and had no problem fulfilling our requests. The main highlight of the hotel is the fantastic breakfast. You get a choice of options including cereals, fruit, and cooked breakfasts. The English Breakfasts and Pancakes in particular were fantastic. The Fawley provides enough for any appetite! Parking is right at the front of the hotel and make sure you ask Deborah before booking online as she can offer you a much better deal and a discount on the ferry services over as well.

  A superb place with fantastic hosts

  A very welcoming & accommodating family run guesthouse, from our experience, nothing is too much to ensure your stay adds to your break, if they can do it, they will, but dont take our word for it, book yourself and see, excellent location within an easy walk to the beach and Shanklin old town, thank you Debbie, Mark & Anna, from Keith, Teresa and special thanks from Emily xx

  Clean and Comfortable

  Just had a couple of nights stay at the Fawley. Lovely room, clean with a comfortable bed. I thought there was no hot water from the sink tap to begin with, but you seem to need to run the hot tap for a long time; it does then get hot. The internet connection is great. The hosts have really worked hard to make the place Covid19 ready. The breakfast you are required to choose the night before on a printed card to be left at reception. The choice is good with a wide selection of fruit, cereal, pancakes and of course the cooked breakfast. I,m vegetarian so felt well catered for. One tiny quibble, I always prefer the tinned plum tomatoes to the rather plain, tasteless fresh ones. I never asked as it is such a tiny issue and I wouldn't expect a whole tin to be opened just for me! Very good place to stay and will definitely stay again. Thankyou.

  Fantastic breakfast, lovely staff and great location

  Breakfast was amazing, everything you could want and more. Eggs were perfection. Owners and staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful. Even a birthday card and candle ;-) Super clean and COVID-19 safe.

  Excellent again

  Stayed at the fawley for a long weekend after we had to cancel our main holiday there in the summer. Can't fault the service that Debbie Mark and Anna provide its was our 5th year staying with them. It's such a shame that this was our last visit to the fawley under the current owners as they are selling the hotel in the next few weeks. We have decided not to stay there again when the new owners take over as we want to keep the memories that we have of the fawley. We wish Debbie Mark and Anna all the best for the future and thank them for the great hospitality we have had over the years. It won't be the same.
