  Nice Quiet Hotel

  Overall the hotel is a pretty nice stay. The rooms are quite large with plenty of room for movement, en-suite bathroom and with all the necessities most hotels have. The breakfast and bar is great too, with the food being good quality and overall a nice place to drink and relax. The scenic view with a front facing window is also nice, as it allows you to see out over the harbour and take a good view of the beach and hilltops within the distance. The only negative is that the rooms do seem a little bit run down, however the positives outweigh this. Definitely plan to come here again at some point

  THE WORST HOTEL EVER!! READ ON....

  Where do we start???...the excrement pilled on the toilet scrubbing brush?..the disgustingly filthy floor carpet which hasn't been hoovered for who knows how long?..arriving to find the room was not even made and the bed as if someone had just got out of it?...the shocking car boot furniture to decor the room?....the roll down blind with insects splat inside as you unfurl it?...the fact the outside is like a dumping ground and a total wreck of crap everywhere?...the 'reception' with leaflets and papers scattered all over the floor and desk?...the bar area with chairs stacked up on top of each other in the corner?...the fact nobody there when you arrive..not a single person!..mind you wish I never arrived!!! Left before even staying the night it was so disgusting!!!!!!! Demanded a refund on leaving....owner has not paid...hence I really hope this helps screw his business!..Do not believe the photos!!!..and if you still decide to book expect the worst big time...it is a truly appalling place and should not be advertised!! If the owner is reading?..you never refunded as agreed and this is your return on that..lose far more than the £60 I wasted putting in your account! Seem stuck putting one star..should be minus stars!

  Used condoms...

  First room Used condoms in the bin. Litter on the floor. No cups. Dust on the surfaces We where offered another room. By an apologetic but seemingly unconcerned owner. We were informed that "we were welcome to stay somewhere else" Second room. Furniture caked in dust. Floor was un hoovered. Windows with deep ingrained dirt. Sticky mess on the table. Was concerned that the levels of cleanliness of the rooms was replicated in the kitchen. Most definitely did not have breakfast. Vile, filthy, disgusting and unhygienic. Avoid at all cost.

  Oh dear...

  Afraid I dont recognise the positive reviews and agree with the critical reviews. This was a very disappointing experience. When we arrived it felt as if there was no expectation of guests. The downstairs bar area was very messy and everywhere was dusty. One of our two rooms was certainly unclean and dusty. I have never stayed anywhere, in any part of the world, with such a dirty carpet (really zoom in on the carpet photo) as the carpet in the room my daughter was booked in. I mentioned this between arriving and heading out for dinner. The owner said he would hoover. If he did, he needs a new hoover. We got back later and decided my daughter would sleep with her Mum and I would take the crappy room. The view from the crappy room was of rusty outside steps and messy area. On the plus side the bedsheets were clean, although mattress poor, and bathrooms were nicely designed (white tiles everywhere, although a bit grimy) but mine only had a hand wash dispenser. There was no shower gel or shampoo. The owner seemed nice, affable but the whole experience was very odd, as if they were in the middle of a change of ownership. Location is good but the absolute priority for a hotel must be cleanliness and, unfortunately, this hotel falls VERY short. Sorry to say avoid.

  I should have known better!

  Stayed once before, not a great experience. However, I booked again for 1 night as I couldnt get into my first choice accommodation until next day. I knew that it wasnt the best place, but it was convenient. In good time, I requested a cancellation to my booking as I knew I wasnt going to be able to travel. They still took my money and two unanswered emails later, I still dont have a response or a refund.
