    Beautiful hotel

Had a really lovely stay at the Enniskillen Hotel. The decor is really lovely. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite and it was fabulous. The bathroom was gorgeous with a huge shower. We didnt eat in the hotel as it is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre with all its great restaurants but we had a drink in the bar and the staff were really friendly. Having stayed in some of the big hotels in the area, this is my new favourite. Its location and style make it.

    Last night in Enniskillen stay

We decided to stay another night in Enniskillen and booked into the Enniskillen Hotel just to see what it was like in comparison to the westville and we were happy with both of them. We went for the superior room which was a bit bigger than the standard room and it's got all the amenities and a fridge as well. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very friendly and welcoming with guests and they do try to help you with any requests. We had the breakfast and it's got a good choice of food to enjoy. I would be happy to recommend the hotel if you are planning on visiting Enniskillen.

One of the first meals after lockdown

We ate here in August shortly after the lockdown ended and it was most enjoyable. The staff were switched on, the safety measures were well in place and the food was good. The carpark was packed however even though the hotel didn't seem full. Maybe there was another function going on elsewhere. We will return.

    Disappointed

My partner and I stayed the weekend down here. We stayed before back in June in the superior double and absolutely loved it, couldnt stop talking about it, staff were so friendly, room was beautiful, everything was so clean and tidy! We were dying to get back so arrived at the weekend (this was January last year) and stayed in the superior double again and disappointed to say it wasnt half as good as the first time we stayed, staff didnt seem as interested or as welcoming but still extremely helpful! The room just wasnt the same level of cleanliness, behind the tv and around the lights at the side of the bed look like they havent been cleaned in months. Not to mention all the stains on the carpet and curtains that make the place look grubby. The shower looked disgusting, up around the head of the shower was all scaly, and some of the nozzles that the water flows out of had broken off so was more like a waterfall than rainfall. We also had to ask for extra towels as no matter what direction the shower was pointed in the water started to leak out onto the floor and I dont mean a few dribbles I mean it really started to flood the floor. I also thought the first time there was cushions on the bed? Although this time there wasnt, the cushions just seemed like a nice touch. The handles on the windows are also broken and hard to open and close as I was that scared of them breaking completely. Our bed was also made or changed with a big black smudge at the bottom of it one morning, Im not sure what it was but because it was at the bottom of the bed and on the outside of the cover we never thought too much of it. Also the room we stayed in seemed to pick up every bit of noise, the people in the room beside us had their tv blaring the whole night and we could hear every word they said. The door leading into rooms 301 - 307 are super noisy because it pushes both directions and sort of swings back and forward. The doors on the rooms are also super loud when closing but theres not much you can do about other customers and fire doors so we didnt mind this, just worth mentioning. On Sunday morning we had came down for breakfast, we seen a seat in the corner and had started to head that direction when we were asked to wait and were told a table would be set up for us now, fair enough, few moments later a man came in to ask for a table for 5 we were a bit annoyed by this as the waiter started to clear and set up the table for 5 before ours even though wed already been waiting and all our table really needed was a cutlery, well maybe needed more but thats all we seen anyway. Anyway we waited while their table got cleared and they got seated, we also waited while the waiter took other peoples orders before even trying to clean our table. Now to be fair on Saturday night and Sunday morning the hotel was packed, it was so so busy and the breakfast is always worth the wait anyway I had prepaid the hotel back in December and prepaid the late check out. We checked the night before with the girl at the front desk the night before we left that this was paid and what time we had to check out by and she said as stated on the website that we have up until 2 oclock. So for the day of check out we had put the zs sign on the door thinking wed get a lay in, housekeeping was really noisy when talking to each other in the hall but we were getting up for breakfast and obviously they need to communicate, no big deal. We went back to the room to catch another few hours sleep when housekeeping then knocked on the door and shouted housekeeping, when I opened the door I got a very sharp check outs at 11 I hope you know and so I explained that we paid for late check out, she then said well what time are you checking out then I replied 2 oclock and she was sort of sharp and had said does reception know to which I replied yes and she then said nothing and walked off. Thinking nothing of it we got up and started to get organised and packed up to leave to then get a phone call from the girl at the front desk to tell us check out time was 1 oclock and we were meant to check out 15 minutes ago, and if we wanted to stay longer we had to pay £20. I was confused cause we checked last night and we were allowed to 2 oclock and I had already paid £20? Anyway I found out confirmation email and went down to the front desk to explain this, and was told I had to pay £20 to stay extra I explained I had already paid £20 and then showed the email, long story short the problem was easily resolved and the lady at the desk apologised, it just confused me as the girl last night could see we paid extra and were allowed up until 2 oclock but this lady didnt seem to be able to see that? Unless its the way the computer systems work, the whole ordeal made us feel as though we had overstayed our welcome a bit so we left shortly after that anyway. To end this on a good note the food in the hotel is beautiful and the portion sizes are big! Youll never leave feeling hungry! Their pepper sauce is the best Ive ever had. The staff are only human and mistakes are made, they are super helpful if you ever need anything and are always happy to help. Ive never once seen any of the staff walking around looking miserable which is lovely. The beds are the comfiest hotel beds Ive ever stayed in, slept like a baby every night! The mini fridge, safe and fan in the room are a nice touch and nice to have there. Not to mention the hotel couldnt be in a better spot hardly ever used the car both times we were down, handy for the town centre, for the shopping centre, cinema, Asda, Tesco just anywhere really. The hotel the first time we stayed couldnt be faulted and we recommended to everyone! After this stay I dont know how quick we would be to recommend the hotel as standards seemed to have slipped slightly. As first time round we hadnt one issue housekeeping were friendly and like mice as in you wouldnt have heard them. The hotel didnt seem as noisy and there was no dust, stains etc. The shower was immaculate and pretty much one of our favourite parts! Im not sure we would be so quick to return. The hotel definitely doesnt feel 4 star at all just with all the issues we had and faults with the room. And when paying £100 per night for a room you expect the standard to be slightly higher than it was. I fully understand mistakes are made, things are missed, and stains are obviously difficult to remove hence the name but have to say I just expect more like the first time.
