  A Lovely Couple of Days

  Stayed here for a couple of days to explore the local area and loved the place. The pub is well kept and nicely furnished with lovely staff. Food was of a good standard but you had to book well in advance for dinner due to increased demand at the time (Lockdown - govt. food subsidies) There is on-site parking and the pub is beautifully placed for walking round Lincoln being on the top side of town very close to the castle and the cathedral, though if you struggle with steep inclines maybe Lincoln is not for you. We would stay here again without hesitation if they fixed the intermittent TV signal in our room.

  A lovely restaurant with rooms

  Friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant. The hotel reception is poor and dark but dont be too put off. The room was dark and a little dated but very clean. The bathroom was excellent. The hotel seems to be an afterthought to the main restaurant and bar which were excellent. Generally no one on the reception desk just piles of laundry in bags on the floor. If youve had a lovely meal and cant drive home then it is fine for an overnight stay. We drove over 200 miles to get here and were underwhelmed by the facilities

  Wish we could have stayed longer

  This is the perfect base for exploring Lincoln. The Duke William is a characterful old property, perfectly situated in the heart of town, and is only minutes by foot from all the main places of interest. The friendly staff, lovely bedroom and delicious breakfast were all top notch. Even in these COVID-strained times, it was a joy to stay. Id recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!

  Sunday Afternoon Drinks

  Covid secure and great service, what I don't like is sitting under a shelter that is closed on all sides but one with smokers. Simple solution ban the smoking in this area. Not everyone smokes but blowing out smoke increases the risk of transmission. Sister pubs of this chain don't allow this.

  Great Location with a Top Team Looking After You!

  Just enjoyed a short break at the Duke William. They have got the COVID arrangements very well sorted and all the team are first rate. Our room was small but comfortable and breakfast was lovely. Overall I highly recommend the DW as a place to eat/drink/stay in Lincoln.
