    Great option in Gulu

    Dove's Nest hosted a group of us for a conference in July 2017. The bedrooms were comfortable, if quite small, and the service could not have been better. The conference facilities were clean and spacious. Wifi was often slow, but this is Gulu rather than the hotel I think. They supplied tasty samosas during breaks in the conference, and the Ugandan buffet lunch was good. Breakfast was pretty basic, but included cook-to-order omelettes. Quiet location - but only 10 minutes walk or so from the Smiling Panda, for anyone in the mood for music and drinking until the early hours. Would definitely stay here again.

    Wonderful hotel in a remote place

    Traveled to Gulu to work with an NGO and was not sure what the accommodations would be. Dove's Nest was quite, very clean, spacious room, and the staff was very helpful the entire week I there. My next trip, I will be staying here.

    OK place to stay in Gulu

    It's basic, it's simple, the breakfast ain't that great...all in all just an OK place to stay while in Gulu. I stayed there for 3 nights in one of the rooms on the top floor. My room had airconditioning and a balcony, but this differs from room to room. Some of my fellow travellers had a fan on their room, some had a balcony, some had both, some had...well, you catch my drift. My room had en-suite facilities that were quite good. The shower was cold, but the one of my downstairs neighbour had hot water. This is Africa. ;) The hotel is a popular place for meetings, so during daytime things may get crowded. Restaurant on-site is good with a huge menu. Have the staff check beforehand for availability of ingredients. Breakfast is super simple, but sufficient.

    Amazing Ambience

    It was a happy time at the Doves Nest, food is really nice, rooms are spacious enough, the ambience is on point, water heaters are working well BUT the room I was in had an old mosquito net which led to mosquitoes disturbing me at night, AC was not fully functional and shower wasnt working at all!

    Great Bar

    A nice hotel with a good friendly ambience. Hotel bar is great and a great place to chill and watch the football. Restaurant is ok for dinner but avoid the goat stew! Breakfast could be improved a little with some decent coffee instead of nescafe! Rooms in the out building are much nicer than the ones in the main building!
