  lovely place

  Stayed 2 nights here while walking with Life's an Adventure. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. The staff were awesome & the food extremely good .Breakfast was huge The rooms very adequate & with heating & opening windows.

  Avoid it, bad service, overly expensive.

  Stayed for 3 nights, poor check-in and check out experience, poorly trained girl on the front desk, elderly owners floating around not doing much, rooms are tiny and poorly maintained, rock hard old pillows, and it stunk of cheap cleaning products. for 350-400 a night can do much much better. if it was $75 a night, it would be spot on.

  Central, friendy & well made over

  A pleasing ambience, good food, nice accomodation and well put together. A friendly experiance which is always so easy to be part of when you feel comfortable in a positive environment. Lovely outlook over to the Thredbo action on the slopes.

  Simple and relaxing

  Great location in Thredbo village, literally a stones throw from Thredbo walk. Simple, basic rooms. Beds were a little hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was yummy muesli packets in your room. When told the room included breakfast I was expecting a little more than cereal packets in the room. Staff were super friendly, I would stay here again.

  Comfortable stay, friendly staff

  My family and I spent the Australia Day Long Weekend at Thredbo, staying at the Denman Hotel. We booked by telephone, getting a saving by booking direct. We booked a family room, which had one room with a queen bed, a second room with a bunk and a single bed, and an ensuite. The room was very clean, comfortable and appeared to have been renovated recently. The room included tea and coffee, milk, breakfast provisions (Museli and Weet bix) and a few biscuits, which were replenished daily. There is no parking at the hotel, however the friendly receptionist Judy provided us with a map showing where available parking was located. Judy was friendly and helpful and gave us a few ideas about the area and some maps of the broader area. The hotel was very quiet and well presented, there was a television in each of the two rooms. There is a restaurant in the hotel (but it was fully booked), but the hotel is a very short walk to a range of bars and restaurants. We ended up eating at The Local Pub in the Thredbo Alpine Hotel on the first night, which did not require bookings. It is a short walk to the Kosciuszko Express chairlift, which we used on our journey to climb Mt Kosciuszko. The only downside of the hotel was there was no air conditioning and the room was very hot. I recognize that this is probably only an issue for a few weeks a year as Thredbo is normally a cold place, but we ended up with fans on and the windows open and it was still stifling during the night making it difficult to sleep. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to stay here again and recommend the Denman Hotel, however if we were visiting during a hot period we would probably look to somewhere with air conditioning next time.
