Enjoyed it, but not really a hotel standardI spent 3 months here when going to university (PSU). If you are planning to do the same thing you might stop thinking as this really is the best possible place to stay and close to school. Excellent base to discover Phuket. We were overall very pleased with the accommodation for the price we paid. However the pricing seemed to vary on how good of negotiator you were and I found my friend getting the same house for better price, but also found out that some others had paid more than I had. (Remember to mention if you are going to study in PSU and ask for discount.) When going to stay here I suggest you to have a positive attitude, as Delight village (or Delight pine tree village, or Deli golf resort.. what ever they call it) does not deliver some hotel standards. You could say that the place was managed poorly (this might happen quite often in thailand to my experience). I give you the negatives first: -No english speaking staff (and several problems occuring because of this!) -Property in need of obvious maintenance (tennis court broken etc.) -Pool water not cleaned frequently enough -Sometimes they were burning leafs in the yard, making it uncomfortable to stay in the pool or in the balcony -Bad picture in tv (even after repairman :D ) -Some of the houses had problems getting hot water -Some rude attitude from the manager: once when the cleaner somehow managed to give us pillow-bags, I called the manager and he just told me we get them "tomorrow" -When asking other things too, be prepared to be answered "tomorrow" -Rooms were not cleaned very well so we had to wash the walls etc. when we arrived -When few of our t-shirts, while drying in the balcony, happened to fall down to the yard, the gardener just took them for his own use (a big suprise to me, but this did seem like some weird cultural thing of him thinking we didn't care about our t-shirts...) -My rooms safe did not work (but I kept my stuff "hidden" and nothing was stolen so no problem) -Difficulties in finding a taxi when needed, we asked the hotel staff to call us a taxi few times, but the taxis still couldn't find this place after their directions! Ok, so that was a lot of negatives but hey we were there for 3 months. Now don't be alarmed yet as I still have to positives to give you:) : +Competitive prices, great house and room sizes +Nice mountain views from the houses on the hill +Private parking spot, if you get a car while there +Pool +Lots of trees +Overall silent place so you get a good nights sleep +Good (and cheap!) restaurants on the same street +7eleven foodstore on the same street +McDelivery ;) (cheap, not the tourist price you get on the beaches) +24h guard +Local life +Good fridge +Huge balcony (on the upper houses) +Wifi (had some monthly fee of few euros) There are only few hotels to choose from in Kathu-suburb, so I think this is easily the most deluxed one. If you are wondering of staying somewhere more low-key I definately suggest you to choose Ormthong hotel around the corner from hotel Baan Maksong. Some of my friends also rented a house by their own, but in general I think I was happier staying in Delight village, as it has nice pool and less overal trouble than renting a house.

Hummmm...Humid, smelling, with mosquitoes, mould, not well maintained, some AC not working, ants, expensive for what it is... Called a hotel, but not a hotel. Internet slow. No daily cleaning. No shuttle. Nobody there at some specific hours. Not professional. Restaurant.. nothing special...

The shame of the hotel business ..hospitality nonexistent .. All furniture are damaged .. No mini golf .. No court tenis .. no room service .. laudry not included in the price for sheets etc. .. Rental price at the head of the customer .. 15000Thb of a 20000Thb ! Prices KWH charge 8Thb/Kwh instead of 5Thb ! Internet 600THB, works very badly and very slowly .. 300Thb fixed water bill .. which represents 10.000litres consumes less water in the month! Not maintained garden .. Mosquitoes, Cobra and Varans are true tenants .. So DANGEROUS ! In short, if you like to pay money and have no services in a false webside ... Rent at Pine 3 Village!! For an average bill 25000Thb/mois ... You will stay in the worst HOTEL Phuket ...
