  Weekend getaway

  Beautiful stay at the DeBary Inn! This historic home has all the ambiance to enjoy a special weekend away. Theresa and Vinny were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Wonderful shopping and dining are literally a block away. So convenient! Highly recommend this property and we will be back.

  What a wonderful place to stay!

  I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay at The DeBary Inn. My room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfasts (included!) were abundant and filling. Best of all, the innkeepers were exceptionally gracious and accomodating hosts. The inn is only a short walk to downtown Summit with all of its great shops and restaurants. I will defifintely stay at the DeBary Inn the next time I go to Summit and recommend it to anyone who needs a home-away-from-home in Summit.

  Lovely place to stay

  Due to the unfortunate situation with Covid-19 we booked at the last minute. The staff welcomed us, helped with our (considerable) luggage and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you so much, you were amazing going above and beyond our expectations. The Debary is a beautiful house, very homely and ideally located for the restaurants and shops. Also only a short 20 minute or so drive to Newark Airport, ideal if you don't want to stay in NYC. We had the 4 poster room which was spacious and comfortable. No coffee facilities in the room, but refreshments were available downstairs in the lounge so this was no problem at all. Comfiest of beds, clean and nice furnishings.

  Debary Inn Summit NJ

  We have stayed in B&B's and hotels all over the world. Love this place! have been here 5 weeks and the INN Keepers Teresa & Vinny are great! The owners are amazing as well! Will be returning every year. There is no breakfast due to the Covid restrictions. There is great food in the town. This place is a Mansion of 16 rooms and it is beautiful!

  DO NOT STAY AT DEBARY INN!

  We actually give 0 stars. I've stayed a # of times at the Inn. HOWEVER, THE INN NOW IS UNSAFE, DIRTY, AND NOT SERVICED. When we booked, an innkeeper said that the staff had been "let go," so we'd not get cleaning. This was fine due to COVID. We didn't realize that this would mean NO ONE employed by the hotel would be around. When we arrived 1 wk ago, we ran into an "owner," who said "half" the inn's rooms had no a/c & he couldn't get an electrician. Upon checking in ourselves, we ran into a group being solicited to buy the inn. During 1 wk, we saw only 3 other living guests each there 1 nt; open, vacant rooms, supposedly booked per the inn's website or hand-written anticipatory "guest" list; no inn representatives except twice over 6 days (think Psycho). An owner's son said they were losing money, lost 95% of their business and basically didn't care about room issues. Lamps and headboard were dusty, shower smelled of mold, etc. We have photos. WHY STAY? We're leaving for another inn.
