  Wonderful Stay

  Upon checking into the hotel, I was greeted by Manny who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. After checking in and settling in, I came downstairs and was greeted by Amanda. Amanda was friendly and informative. She recommended wonderful dining options in the hotel and showed me around the property. She seemed passionate about her job and made sure to answer any questions I had. I stayed on property for 5 days and had a phenomenal stay. I would definitely stay there again as it was centrally located to downtown Fort Lauderdale, the grounds were clean and the staff were friendly. Upon checking out, Jose helped me and sent a copy of my receipt promptly to my email.

  Couples vacation

  This hotel has so much potential but falls short in all areas except the comfortable mattresses. It is not kept up well, the chairs and seating in all of the common areas are unbelievably uncomfortable. The cushions are dirty and missing some back cushions. No irons or ironing boards in the room. Had to ask for extra towels twice before delivered. J Willard Marriott would be embarrassed.

  Special property. Great location

  Spent two nights here last week and i was impressed with the property from arrival. Quick valet service and easy access to 6th floor lobby. Checking in was fast and was upgraded to a junior suite. Room was well equipped, bed was amazing, quiet and comfortable. because of covid there is not daily housekeeping but I believe if you request day in advance you can get that service. Hotel is located in a great area, very central to beaches, las olas area, downtown, and I-95. gym is sufficient, great pool/bar area and beautiful rooftop lounge and restaurant - Sparrow. Hotel is really a destination in itself. One area that could be improved is the lack of breakfast option for Bonvoy Platinum members. Definately recommend!!

  Quick getaway

  My husband and I visited Ft Lauderdale for a quick weekend away. I wanted to choose a hotel with more of an adult vibe. Based on location, positive reviews and price we decided on Dalmar. We also wanted to check out Sparrow. We took an uber from FLL which was triple to arrive from the price back but totally understandable. The location was good for us. We were able to stretch our legs a little and take the short walk to Las Olas and enjoy the great outdoor dining options. In the opposite direction we discovered Rhythm and Vine which we loved. The pool had a nice bar and set up for sunning. We got to spend two hours overall at the pool. Unfortunately we didn't have great weather so we didn't really get to enjoy many of the amenities that the resort fee covers. As a platinum member I found the room we were assigned to be basic but suitable. No upgrade was offered. We chose points over breakfast since the breakfast that was described to me at check-in wasn't much. We didn't encounter many staff members but the ones we did were pleasant. The hotel was clean and comfortable but also relatively quiet for a weekend. I base a lot and for what we paid I wouldn't hesitate to return.

  Disappointing

  This hotel is not up to what I call a Marriott. As a Bonvoy member I am very disappointed. We stayed 3 nights and found this hotel to be very dirty and, had a lack of management care. Carpets in hall stained, small amounts of trash on halls throughout the floors which did not get vacuumed in the 4 days we stayed. Pool deck very dirty to include empty plastic cuts in the pool. We had been told that the pool was heated but far from it. The pool bar area was very old and dirty. We found a Beautiful sitting area just outside the check in lobby which Overseas the city however, the furniture and cushions were absolutely filthy to include mold. No one had bothered to sweep any of the trash from the balcony or even check the area for left over drink cups. In addition, we had to ask 3 times for room towels and at one point told the towel issue was do to COVID. ????? With All said, staff was friendly but the management needs a helping hand. I hope Marriott can fix this hotel as it could be a gold mine.
