A cute place for couples and friends!

The room was decorated nicely and very spacious. I like the way the room was organized so that it didn't looked overstuffed with furniture. The owners were very nice as was the rest of the staff. If you don't mind a short drive downtown for the nightlife it's a perfect place to stay. It's very quiet and I had a relaxing weekend.

"Resort" is a bit of a stretch, but otherwise fine.

An older property in a nice area of town. It is a boutique hotel, only six rooms, but very comfortable. Room had free wifi, a microwave, fridge, and sink in the kitchenette area; but bring your own dishes and utensils. The bed was amazingly comfortable and airconditioning worked well (we were in room three). Room was a good size. There was no phone in the room, but everyone has a cellphone these days anyway. The television in the room was flat panel mounted on the wall with a nice cable tv package and channel line up. I would describe the property as quaint, comfortable, and distinct with adequate parking. The pool was simple but clean. This property is not a chain, so don't expect perfection. Staff was friendly and helpful; you won't be pampered, but you will have all that you need. I would stay there again; nice to know the money I paid for the stay went to an independent business owner and not some huge chain.

    The Pool House/D Resort

This hotel is unfortunately closed. It opened as the Pool House with rates of $99 a night. Very comfortable and contemporary rooms. The Blue Pear restaurant was also part of the original hotel with $10 entrees. There was a wonderful inside bar with plenty of inside and outside seating. Cabana's for everyones use around the pool were complementary. The pool was 6' from our room, Priceless. There was also an outside pool which I think was just for evenings and or weekends. The PH was sold and became the D resort. I stayed there as well and the room rates remained about the same. The restaurant was closed but the outside bar continued to serve guests and pool area. They would open the pool area for visitors and locals for drinks late afternoon into the evening. Not really the loud crowd/pool area I wanted. The space is closed and I wish someone would be able to take it over again. But who knows what kind of condition it is in the the past due taxes left for someone.

    Had A Great Stay

Family and I had a great stay, the staff was fun and friendly...I recommend to anyone who is looking for more of a private stay. I like the fact that they dont charge extra for the cabannas.. plus the view of the mountain side from the pool is pretty cool...I believe Danny is the owner pretty positive and attentive to his guests there from my first impression..

    Something was off

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a barking dog in a locked lobby. Finally someone showed up. He was very pleasant but seemed a bit overwhelmed. We were shown to our room and the minute we opened the door a very strong smell of bleach greeted us. The pool was dirty and had stuff floating in it. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a few days or more. We left very early the next day because it just felt weird. We were told as we were leaving that the hotel is for sale. Perhaps there have been some management issues. Too bad because this place has a lot of potential.
