  Lovely Little Getaway!

  I stayed here with my fiancée as we fancied a nice relaxing night away as we have both been key workers throughout the pandemic! Arrival: We arrived to a very spacious car park so we were very please, upon entering, the staff on reception were very bubbly and happy, asked how we were and answered any questions we had. Room: We were in room 8, which was lovely and spacious, there was a TV, couch, table, dressing table, long mirror, tea/ coffee making facilities, bath towels, shower gel. The bed was extremely comfy. Area: Crofters is a 4 minute drive from the town centre of Garstang, its a 5 minute walk from a Spar shop which has all you could want and the Crofters have there own tavern at the side which is nice and quiet and open late. The only thing that was a problem was in the morning at around 8am our door was opened and the cleaner came in without knocking, as soon as she realised we were in she apologised and left, we rang reception and it turns out she had the wrong room, Reception apologised sincerely so we werent really bothered by what happened, things happen and the staff were lovely! We will Defo be returning to this hotel! Its lovely and peaceful!

  So disappointing. In desperate need of a refurbishment or at the very least a fresh coat of paint and some attention to detail. The hotel smells of whatever is being cooked which is really off putting. Had to ask for a mattress protector as mattress just covered by a thin sheet and needed hand soap. No hand gel available in the lobby and restaurant and communal sauce bottles at breakfast that happened to be empty 3 days running - didnt feel like any serious consideration had been given during lockdown to re-opening with safe procedures. Bathroom bin had a huge crack in the bottom - summed it up really - cant replace a £3 plastic white bin! I rang before the stay as booking.com were offering rooms a little bit cheaper to se if they could match the rate. I was told this wasnt true and they were full. Got there and they were definitely not full - not even close to it. Will never return.

  Fantastic

  We were unsure where to go for lunch with another couple. So checked out TripAdvisor. Crofters what a find made welcome menu was a good assortment. Food came we were not disappointed all four had starters all four main meal. Too full for sweets. Fantastic place. Definitely recommend. Nice cocktails as well

  ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING night wouldnt advise anybody to stay here, people had us up from 1 till 4 shouting, when we went to complain the blonde haried woman on reception said o sorry, they was a phone in the hotel room but didnt work, room wasnt clean,stains on the looseat

  Good value friendly hotel and restaurant

  We stayed here for two nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Some small issues with the television and the heating were dealt with promptly although this is a hotel where the heating is controlled centrally on a timer and therefore heating the room outside of those scheduled times is difficult. Reception and the breakfast area are warm as and comfortable and the breakfast very good. The bar and restaurant serve some excellent food , especially if youre a vegetarian and they have some real ales which are well kept. The bar is used by a small group of locals who keep it going in these difficult times. The pubs of Garstang are a 25 minute walk away.
