  Lovely Sunday Lunch

  We had a really good Sunday lunch at The Cricketers yesterday. Our daughter lives only a few yards away and we hadnt tried it again after the place really went down and was disappointing. Its changed hands and how it shows! It was too busy to get a short-notice table inside but we sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed well-cooked, delicious food. Sunday lunch can be great or a disaster (we had one of those on holiday recently) and it really couldnt have been better. In spite of being so busy the (predominantly) young staff were delightful - and efficient. Theres a new menu, loads of interesting choice and no problem for vegetarians. Good value too. Delighted to give The Cricketers such a good review and wish the new owners much success. Dont know about the accommodation, again this was very tired and may be waiting for/or has been renovated but in such a delightful location they should do very well.

  Pleasant stay

  Stayed for a weekend whilst visiting family This is a pleasant pub with rooms The pub has excellent food available Breakfast ample and well cooked Our room was on the ground floor, good size and our dog was welcome too Within easy reach of Petersfield town and railway station, plenty of good walks and easy reach of Bedales school

  Lovely food

  3 of us called in for lunch on Saturday 16th November 2019. What a lovely, fresh, filling meal. Husband and grandson had the burger, ow what a size. I had the chicken and white wine pie its veg. Lovely and hot, fresh vegetables and on a hot plate, which is so refreshing.

  Most Awesome Sunday Lunch

  Well the Cricketers have finally found a chef worthy of driving to. The most most chicken Over ever eaten, the beef was rare, but Neil cooked it medium for mother in law who doesn't like blood, and pork to die for. Yorkies you could start as a hat and a vegetarian cottage pie that was as good as one with meat in. The brownie and crumble were worth a visit on their own. If Neil ever leaves, I'll follow to his next kitchen!

  wonderful place

  we came for a Sunday roast after a muddy dog walk and they couldn't have been more welcoming. we wanted to sit in the garden as our dog doesn't like crowds or noise but they put us in a quiet corner and went out of their way to make sure we were all comfortable even bringing water and a treat for the dog. when our food arrived it was wonderful, one of the best roasts I've had. highly recommended.
