Rudest man on earthI would rather not waste my time or energy placing a reveiw on this hotel but want people to know how awful this place is. We didnt even get past reception due to our room being apparently double booked. The man on reception was the rudest most obnoxious man I have ever met who blamed Booking.com on the supposed mix up. We were 4 women who ended up a long way from home with nowhere to stay and were verbally abused by this awful man who couldn't even look at us and said we were aggressive to him!!!! Never again - and if anyone has any sense do not go anywhere near this poor excuse of a hotel! It is somehow joined to The Albany, please read the recent reviews on both of these- make your own decisions!!!! Absolutely disgusted at the attitude and behaviour. Why can I not give zero on my review??? It deserves less!!!!!!

I sometimes feed the pigeonsHad the pleasure of being put up here by my employers for 4 nights . I can only assume they dont like me. Where do you start? From the almost passive aggressive stance of the front desk who didnt believe my booking was prepaid , to the tired and dated room. As with most hotel rooms it was furnace like , so search for the aircon commences , no aircon , no fan, oh well Ill open the window. Alas I never had my view as it was dark but the sound of cooing and flapping pigeons very close meant I couldnt open the window too far. On seeing my view in the morning of a derelict shell 20 feet from my window I now see the sight of the cooing that greets me from 6am. Even the relief of a shower takes a dribble of water with bath towels like flannels and a cold tap you have to turn about 4 times before any water comes out. But hey, the parking is free oh and apparently so is the WiFi but you have to ask at the front desk, so probably involves a fist fight.

The worst hotel experience ever . Do not attempt to book this hotel .I really dont know where to begin but will keep this brief . Hotel room cancelled without my knowledge, no communication from them whatsoever . Reception staff told me no trace of booking despite me having Emails conforming my booking and he put the phone down on me . Called back and was verbally abused by the rudest most obnoxious man I have ever encountered who called me stupid and put the phone down on me . I have never experienced such atrocious customer service in all my years of travelling both home and abroad .

Courtland is the worst everWorst hotel ever...lost out on £600 and the staff were swearing and rude to us. Please avoid this place like the plague. Not only unhelpful but insulting and rude. Had to find and pay for another hotel. Horrible service and will never recommend it to anyone. Book at your peril.

Avoid at all costs!Booked at the sister hotel - The Imperial which was shut due to lock down. After much tooing and froing they agreed to move our booking to September. Imperial still not open; so received an email asking us to confirm our attendance at the Courtlands - sister hotel to the Imperial. Duly replied with confirmation. Turned up to be told our rooms werent available and they had been moved to another date; despite receiving an email two weeks prior confirming our rooms with FREE parking. We also received a parking ticket! £594 lost and had to book three other rooms for the night as we had already travelled down there. Hotel staff dont give two hoots: receptionist was down right rude and dismissive. And as for the manager - words fail me. Rude, arrogant, aggressive, condescending. Im sorry to say I lost my temper and gave him a few choice, well deserved words. DONT STAY HERE. Also on another note the photos of the Imperial hotel on booking.com are misleading. They show the sea front houses; not a dirty side entrance behind the beautiful houses!
