  Soberbia experiencia para introducirse en el esplendor de La France

  Un lugar precioso, un tesoro a pocos km de Paris Sin duda, la mejor opción para deleitar todos los sentidos. Desde la llegada, todo fluye maravillosamente. La suite no puede ser más adorable, la vista majestuosa. El personal súper atento y pendiente de todo. El hotel exquisito, la cena es más que soberbia . Una experiencia única Siendo de Argentina, me llevo en mi corazón todo él el esplendor de La France

  Excellence sustained

  We have been coming to Jean-Michelle's hotel on and off since the mid-late '70's when the hotel was in what is now the Maison de Famille on the opposite side of the main road and you crossed under the road to the river side where the hotel now stands. This is a luxury provincial hotel and over the years we have had different rooms/suites across the price range but whichever end of the spectrum, all have been excellent. Prices are what you should expect at this level but then the service and attention to detail are justification. If Jean-Michelle spends time with you, you feel it is out of genuine interest and not just doing the rounds. Sebastian, the Manager was attentive and excellent, Thomas & Marine, sommeliers, sensitive to your wine preferences. The food is always imaginative but we thought the flavour of Brittany lobster which was twice cooked, the second time seared, I think over flames, was spoilt by the slight acridness which occurs in the searing. That was just our view on the taste since the searing is intentional. The wifi connectivity leaves something to be desired but if that's the worst I can write about, it speaks volumes and I put it hear in the hope it will be addressed!

  Excellent

  Another wonderful stay in this beautiful well maintained property. From the minute of arrival to departure everyone was helpful and nice. The room was big and modern furnished , wonderful view of the river. Bed was very big and comfortable. Great spa and swimming pool. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was superb. Thank you Jean - Michel Lorain and the team for keeping the excellent standard of this hotel.

  All good but,

  Let us be honnest, the place is great and do not hesitate to take a room in the Maison right across the street, less expensive than the hotel and very nice. Food was great, service excellent despite the COVID and the mask weared by all staff . My only point of unpleasementless was the sommelier which was quite passive and did not help us to make the best choise. I recommend the "Ile flottante au caviar Kristal and the lamb as well as the Homard Pattes bleues. My wife, found of crustacean was not sure of the combination Homard café, but it worked very well.

  Excellent stopover

  We look for places to stay between the Channel and the Côte dAzur which will give a comfortable overnight stop with excellent dining. This was our second time at the La Cote St Jacques, albeit 13 years on. It does not disappoint; the room was very comfortable, particularly the bed and bedding, it was well equipped, a lovely view over the river and a bathroom with both bath and walk in shower - providing you are not too tall as it is tucked away under the eaves. The dinner was outstanding; the restaurant may have lost one of its 3 stars since our last visit but the cooking was creative, exact, and memorable - the Île flottante as a starter was outstanding. Service was impeccable, timing between courses very well judged. Breakfast in many top French hotels seems to have become a new source of profit, expensive, uninteresting fare on offer and poor service by inadequate staff. This is a brilliant exception, an excellent range of dishes, juices, yoghurt, fruits, hams, cheese, tarts, pastries and breads, served at a table outside, more than enough to keep you going for the day. Good coffee and good service. We made a note to stay here again.
