  Needs renovation/ not as pictured

  The first room we checked into was dirty. The floor smelled of stale smoke and mildew. When we got to the first room there were pubic hairs on the toilet and the bedspread had two wet looking spots on either side that would appear to be from sexual encounters from previous tenants. Floor which was not as pictured with old uneven hard ceramic tiles that you could trip on every other step had toe nail clippings and obviously wasnt swept or mopped. Check in member found us another room with less of a bay view and was also not as pictured on the website. Neither room had area rugs, we took the extra bed spread meant for the pullout sofa and used those for areas to walk on. I was turned off by the uncleanliness from both rooms and that the studio did not have a cozy feel as the pictures. Also, the heat. Poor ventilation and uncomfortable to have a good night sleet due to air quality. Every thing in the kitchen had a film and the bathroom had lights missing on top of the dirty filth. I could go on about the rest of the hotel such as unpolished brass and very outdated decor. The lobby looks like the only recently renovated part of the hotel. We cut our week short by 3 days because I simply felt dirty or like I was going to catch something other than Covid. Please dont waste good money on this place. Worst place I have ever stayed. Wish I could get partially refunded but will never stay here again.

  Needs attention to the resort!!

  This resort is in need of attention!!!! I seen mold on the bedroom ceiling (popcorn ceiling) theres so much that needs to be addressed in this location! The furniture is very soiled and dirty! The chairs at the table are dirty as well. We asked for a upgrade to a different room the first few minutes of arrival.....the second room really was not a better scenario. Its not a great getaway from home at all-I would have stayed home knowing ahead what this Resort looked like!

  Wonderful!

  We had made reservations at the Marriott Residence Inn for NYE weekend and after checking in....realized everything we based our booking on was a lie! Checking out 35 minutes later!!!...I took a chance and walked into The Coconut Malorie Resort where I was greeted by Amanda. I explained our story and asked if they would be able to meet our requirements (non adjoining room) being the most important. Amanda took about 2 minutes on the computer and came up with an Effiency with a wonderful view of the Bay and being an end unit, a wonderful view south! We were also shocked that at 4pm on New Years Eve that not only did Amanda treat us so kindly, she also apologized for the experience we had just gone through! We were also shocked at the savings by Staying at the CMR (some places would have taken advantage of our situation) giving addional monies to share with local businesses who so desparately needed that input! Amanda, thank you for saving our New Year and thanks to the rest of the staff who made our stay so special! We will see you again, and now that you have been "Heckscher'fied" we hope you will have a room! Lol Warmest Regards, David & Janet

  Worse hotel experience EVER!!

  Not sure when new management took over but our stay was an disaster. The coffee maker did not work, so we had to request another one. The toaster was like anything I ever seen and used. When making toaster I had to allow the bread to toast for about 15 seconds on one-sided. Then hit the cancel button so I could flip the toast, because if I didn't constantly flip the toast it would the bottom half of the toast. Water pressure was next to none. As we showered the water would stop coming out the shower head. Then we had to wait until it began to work again. So basically we were standing in the shower unable to rinse the soap off. The water to 10 minutes just to warm up each time we used it. We complained to the front desk and manager and they were absolutely no help. It was a complete disaster to me and my wife Anniversary, Valentines Day and my birthday.

  I slept well

  One of the nicer places I have stayed in some time. The staff immediately greeted me upon entry to the lobby. I had a beautiful sunset view of the bay. The bed was comfortable and I slept soundly. From the balcony you can watch all kinds of birds. It was very nice and I look forward to returning someday.
