  Lovely, Welcoming Guest House

  My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights, as a late summer holiday, after lock down. The establishment is easy to find and there is on site parking is available. You are greeted on arrival by Diane and Tommy, who are both genuinely happy to see you. You are made welcome and offered tea and lemon drizzle cake. Excellent fare. Tommy assisted with our bags to the room. Our room was to the rear of the establishment and had a full bathroom. The room and bathroom were immaculately presented. There is a large TV in the room, with small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities provided. Diane was waiting to give us directions into town (which is an easy 5 minutes stroll away) The sea front and beach are similarly 5 minutes easy walk away. The bus station and railway station are next to each other and are in the centre of town The breakfast the next morning seemed never ending. I have never been offered so many different courses for my breakfast. All of it was well prepared and excellent to eat. You complete a request form for breakfast, including what time you would like to have breakfast. The breakfast is such that we didn't need anything else to eat until evening meal time! Tommy is on hand to entertain you with some tricks and funny banter, whilst waiting on. Diane is the cook and does this very well. Both Diane and Tommy are always on hand to give advice on places to see and things to do. They are both excellent hosts and full of knowledge. We both look forward to staying with Diane and Tommy again in the future. Thanks to both of them for an excellent stay.

  Another perfect stay

  Never fails to disappoint. Stayed for one night on way to Cornwall . As always Diane and Tommy were the perfect hosts, excellent breakfast and very clean everywhere. Felt really Covid safe and great to see a B&B adhering to the guidelines and keeping their customers safe. Highly recommended. We will be back soon .

  WITHOUT DOUBT IN OUR VIEW THE BEST THERE IS A CREDIT TO YOU BOTH.

  Just returned today from a 5 night stay at THE CLYDESDALE GUEST HOUSE Diane & Tommy are a very dedicated couple who work Extremely Hard to make your stay a good one. We have stayed with Diane & Tommy quite a few times before, the reason for this is simple they are a very friendly & welcoming couple . The position of the property is absolutely ideal just a short stroll to the town or beach . The standard of the guest house is 100% spotlessly clean . The standard of breakfast is EXCELLENT you have to experience it to know what I mean you will NOT be disappointed. Your hosts are in our view a very caring hardworking couple who do EVERYTHING they can to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Should you be thinking of a break in Paignton do give them a try WE DID you certainly WONT regret it we have never stayed anywhere else since we found The Clydesdale this Guest House has to be the best we have stayed in. Quality means a great deal to us if you want quality this is the place to stay.

  Family weekend away.

  Lovely warm welcome from owner's Diane and Tommy. After arriving we were given mug of tea and a peice of cake, we were all following covid guidelines. Had a lovely chat about the area giving us local information. Showed us our rooms, they did not mind us swapping rooms with my sister as she preferred downstairs room, could not do enough for you, nothing was to much trouble for them. It was nice to be able to choose your breakfast the night before and then you can change it if you want to for each morning the night before on the breakfast slips, all perfectly explained, happy for us to park our car in driveway for the duration of our stay, the food was excellent in morning and always ready to top up if needed. Diane and Tommy always came in to chat with social distancing, can't recommend this place highly enough, coming back next year for sure. Thank you Diane and Tommy for making ours and my sister and brother in laws stay a fantastic one.

  Another break

  Another lovely stay in Paignton at The Clydesdale Hotel, nothing to much for this couple always go above and beyond... lots of lovely places to visit ...ie cockington ,Dartmouth Thank You Diane and Tommy x
