STAY AWAY!!!!I dropped of a family friend and all I can say is that the walls were filthy, a window was boarded and when they got in the room, the man looked at the bathroom and told us he will clean the room later. I would not advise coming and it was pretty grim.

Perfect setting for a mid afternoon randevuWe started our visit bemused that we had to call a mobile number to gain access. We patiently awaited someone to let us in when an eccentric gentle man opened the door. He quickly ushered us in to a seemingly abandoned hotel. We were directed to a desk where we signed a waiver stating we would get a huge fine if we were to check out late. The small eccentric gentleman led us to our room asking if we were here for the night or just the afternoon (rumbled!). He then showed us our room and proudly told us that it has been cleaned, which in hindsight is a great relief based on these reviews. He then scuttled off and got us a tiny heater for our Baltic bedroom. He then proceeded to quiz us on what time we would be returning to the room this evening. I reluctantly said 10pm knowing full well that we would have to leave by 5. He then left and we giggled about the bizarre experience, the room was adequate for the measly 22 pound we paid for it. It was ideal for it's purpose (a midday session between the sheets) the reasoning behind the need to seek a hotel I will leave to the imagination. The dreary state of the room was a fantastic conversation starter during 'excersise' breaks. All in all a fantastic stay at the most bizzare hotel I have ever stayed in. Seeing is believing it is a must to visit.

Happy with my visit!I stayed there for one night on Saturday (14/12/2019) and it cost me £24 for the night. So initially I didnt know what to expect other than what the other reviews said. However when I was let in and shown to my room by a very friendly and helpful gentleman I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I wanted was a clean bed and bathroom. Which were very clean. For £24 per night I really didnt even expect that much but can genuinely say I was really happy. It looks deserted and there is no bar or restaurant but theres shops, restaurants and bars only a 2 minute drive away and the owner was very helpful when I asked for directions. For everyone leaving bad review Im sure you stayed there for the same reason as me... PRICE. Dont expect much but rest assured it is clean! And there is a bath which was nice. Towel was spotless. I am really happy for that service for that price... Ive stayed in worse hotels that cost triple the price of this one. Thank you! Will be staying again.

Close this place down now!!Having decided to stay here despite the feedback that was my first mistake. This hotel needs closed altogether there is so many issues with it. Bedroom with missing window (boarded up) no central heating in the place the general manager gave me a fan heater which in mid winter is in effect a hair dryer the carpets are worn, fire alarm panel is flashing red yet no siren, lights appear to be broken hence the need for a stand lamp, curfew on a night. If you are looking for anywhere to stay the HMP Nottingham have rooms which are more suitable which is better suited. I dont ever give negative feedback unless its absolutely warranted. Hopefully the hotel firm that advertised this place will refund the full amount if not well I will name and shame those too disgrace.

The most disgusting, awful, scariest hotel experience ever.Myself and my partner booked this hotel for the night before his birthday, as we were passing through to see family before we headed up to a night of glamping in Leeds, so we didnt really mind where we stayed the night before. Booked online, very close by to my grandparents, lovely photos of the bedrooms - seemed like a great deal. Turned up quite late (around 10pm) so was dark. Locked fire escape door with a cardboard sign asking you to call a mobile number to be let in. So I did... a man came to the door and lead us into what I can only describe as a squat. Litter, clothes, empty bottles, bits of food, ash trays, electrical lamps hoisted up against damp walls, ladders in the corridor, wallpaper hanging off, a LAWNMOWER? And the smell? My god. This place is a health and safety officers worst nightmare. I felt like Id walked into a horror movie. The owner (but could well of been a homeless man who broke in and is now letting rooms...thats what it looked like) sat me down to check me in via paper and pen. I immediately gave fake details and signed a fake name where it said along the terms and conditions the hotel is not responsible for anything whatsoever .... what??? Why would you need people to sign that? He led us to our room. The door didnt even lock. Extremely intense smell of bleach, stains on the sheets and carpet, a broken/smashed window that lead onto a main road, no working lights, damp and mould everywhere. He showed us our bathroom and goes oh, I forgot to clean that ... I said no worries, you can do it while we get our bags ... I then left the room, ran to my car and left. We were absolutely terrified. I felt like I was expected to stay in an abandoned, unsafe and filthy squat. To the owner of this place, have some respect for what you are advertising to people. Your establishment is disgusting. For anybody at all who may think I am exaggerating, I swear to you Im not.
