Amazing views! My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The chalets are very modern with amazing views from all windows. The chalets are two stories with the master bedroom on the ground floor and the living areas on the main floor. Both floors have balconies with wonderful sea views. The chalets have heat pumps which keep the chalets nice and warm. The master bathroom has a double shower which was a real treat and the bed is large and very comfortable and we both had a great sleep (although the views of the moon reflected in the ocean meant that we didn't really want to sleep!). The chalets have a full kitchen so self catering is possible. Breakfast is provided with the room rental which is a really great addition. The chalet has a sound system and we brought our own CDs so it was like a home away from home. I would recommend the Okurukuru chalets to any couple wanting to have a romantic weekend away, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you also have dinner at the Okurukuru Vineyard Restaurant which has amazing fine cuisine.

Started well ended badlyWell I thought when I got here this place was outstanding but then things went wrong and we were ignored. The 2nd night we were here it rained a lot and the chalets are two floors with the bedroom downstairs, during the night in the downstairs ceiling there were mice or rats running around all night.... when we called to Rae to mention this she came down and told us the sofa upstairs can fold down to a double bed and if we wanted a good nights sleep maybe we should sleep there... we paid 200 bucks a night NOT to sleep on a sofa bed.!!!! Then on the last afternoon a Camper van came and parked right outside our Chalet looking directly into our room. We called and messaged Rae many times got one message back to say no they are not outside our room they are somewhere else... they had a screaming baby ... if we wanted to sleep next to a camper van we would have paid 50 bucks a night in a caravan park...funny how when we needed help for the previous two days Rae was easily contactable but today we were just ignored. So despite this being a nice location on the surface they have lost us and anyone we know as we feel the whole situation was handled very badly.

Secluded yet close to everythingBeautiful view and a stunning landscape. Rolling hills with grapevines, this is a modern chalet with old school charm and an untouched view of the Taranaki coast. It simply doesnt get much better than this!

Beautiful spot!Modern chalets, super clean with a great bathroom.Amazing views off the deck across the vineyard and out to sea.You can even enjoy the view from the shower!Simple but well thought out continental breakfast and a complimentary bottle of wine from the vineyard topped off a great stay.
